Antique Flight Barr & Barr tea cup peach ground gold gilt Rare early 1800’s

Rare find from estate sale! This is a beautiful porcelain teacup and saucer made by Flight, Barr & Barr between 1813 and 1840 – but most probably circa 1815, which was the Regency era. Peach ground gold gilt leaf pattern. This peach ground color is rare as it was very difficult to produce; if the kiln temperature was only slightly too high or too low, the color would come out an ugly brown and the items would have to be thrown away. Given that kilns were fired on coal fires, you can imagine how hard it was to achieve this beautiful color and it would only have been done for the most exclusive sets. The pinched handle is typical for Flight and Barr. Meaning free from cracks chips repairs or crazing. No signs of use for example (utensil marks, scuffs, stains, gold loss or pattern wear). Which leads me to believe this set was for display only as part of a collection. Referenced in Geoffrey A. RARE SET X 8 GILT FINISH BRASS EARLY C19th REGENCY CHEST OF DRAWER PULL HANDLES

Fine set of 8 x hard to find genuine antique Regency reclaimed ring. Pull handles with a. Repeated shell motif in. Petal form to the backplates. The backplates are pressed brass with some of the original gilt wash finish remaining. The rings are tubular/hollow brass. Size; backplates measure 66 mm diameter, 2.6 inches. Weight; lot weighs 226 grams. A beautiful set of handles in good condition with mellow patina and some general wear. No nuts, one has. Short post; see photos. A very rare pair of violet tinted three part prismatic glass Holophane lanterns, housed within their original elaborate gilt copper cages. The gilt copper (over brass) has a wonderful patina, with the finish over time almost turning into a rose gold tone in areas. All glass sections stamped with the Holophane mark and patents numbers, the cages our also stamped. One very fine hairline crack in one of the diffusion plates, annoying but is very well hidden as runs within the lineal design of the plate, all others sections perfect. Each light also has its original heavy gauge brass chain, a reproduction brass ceiling hook, new brass bayonet b22 bulb holder, antique style three core silk flex. Circa 1920 in age. 43cm original chain length & “s” hook. Price is per pendant. Please get in contact as that can be arranged. Antique rare Early 19TH Century CHINESE GILT SILVER FILIGREE ENAMEL BRISE FAN

Hello and welcome to. Depicted in vivid enamel colors. If you think differently or have something else to add to improve my description I would be very happy to hear from you. It has 26 sticks in total. As observed one stick is slightly bent, deformated. And is about to break at the bottom. Side is already broken shown with the white little circle in photo #8 and will have to be welded. Which I did not dare to fix and there are some tiny areas of enamel loss and filigree damage, but you really need to look very carefully to identify the latest. When you unfold the piece you get “blank” areas and you need to manually assist it to get it properly open and same when you fold it back meaning that the system needs some repair or adjustment but nothing is missing. Please see photo #8 and #12 where I marked with a. Circle where you can appreciate the stick which is slightly deformated and about to detach and the little white circle in photo #8 showing the little breakage. The ribbon is not original. The total weight of the piece is 145 grams according to my scale. The item is offered original as is as found without cleaning. Please check out my. 7 1/2″ (19cm) is the height and 13″ (33cm) approximately is the aperture lenght when fully opened/extended. The total weight of the piece is 145 grams. Please look at the 2 dollars note (not included) to compare and get an idea of the size of the item offered. Condition is not the best as observed. One stick is slightly bent, deformated. And is about to detach at the bottom the left. Side is already broken shown with the white little circle and will have to be welded.
