A Very Rare Early 20thC Enamel Railway Station Sign; Please Leave This Lavatory As You Would Wish to Find It. The ellipse shaped painted enamel railways sign, in peacock blue lettering to an ivory ground reading Please Leave This Lavatory As You Would Wish to Find It in capital lettering, and surviving from the first quarter of twentieth century England. In good overall order, the sign has some restoration to the edges as photographed. The two original holes remain for door or wall mounting. This sign would have been mounted to the toilet door in a station and we cannot find another comparable example on or offline. There have been countless reproductions of this kind of sign throughout the 21st century. An extremely rare original sign that raises a smile and one that can still be used to good effect today. A HALLMARKED EARLY MARIUS HAMMER 925 GILDED SILVER AND ENAMEL COLLAR NECKLACE AND BROOCH PARURE. THIS EXTREMELY RARE AND EARLY PARURE SET WAS PRODUCED BY RENOWNED NORWEGIAN SILVERSMITH MARIUS HAMMER AROUND 1890 IN BERGEN. SUPPLIED IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX MARKED HENRIK OPHEIM, JUVELER & GULDSMED, BERGEN. THE PARURE CONSISTS OF A GILDED SILVER COLLAR NECKLACE FORMED WITH INDIVIDUAL FILIGREE FLORAL PLAQUES LINKED TOGETHER. THE CENTRE OF EACH PLAQUE IS ENAMELLED IN BLUE AND WHITE TO FORM THE CENTRE OF A FLOWER. THE COLLAR IS FASTENED WITH A SIMPLE BUT SECURE HOOK AND EYE. THE MATCHING GILDED SILVER BROOCH CONSISTS OF THREE FLORAL PLAQUES ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER WITH BLUE AND WHITE ENAMELLED CENTRES WITH TWO SMALLER WHITE ENAMELLED BUTTERFLY SHAPED PLAQUES INBETWEEN. THE BROOCH IS SECURED BY A SOLID PIN AND C CLASP. THE PARURE IS IN VERY GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION. THE SILVER GILDING TO THE FRONT OF THE COLLAR NECKLACE IS IN EXTREMELY GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY SOME SMALL AREAS OF DARKENING TO THE BACK COMMENSURATE WITH AGE. THE ENAMELLED CENTRES ARE ALSO IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, THE ONLY LOSS BEING ONE SMALL BLUE PETAL ON ONE FLORAL PLAQUE. THIS IS ONLY APPARENT ON CLOSE INSPECTION, AND UNDER HIGH MAGNIFICATION LOOKS AS IF IT COULD HAVE BEEN A MANUFACTURING FAULT. THE BROOCH IS IN GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION HAVING SUFFERED SOME LOSS OF GILDING AND DARKENING OF THE SILVER TO THE THREE SILVER PLAQUES, PARTICULARLY TO THE BACK, PROBABLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS WORN MORE OFTEN THAN THE COLLAR. THE ENAMELLING ON EACH PLAQUE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO LOSS EVIDENT. THE PIN AND C CLASP TO THE BACK ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. THE COLLAR MEASURES 17 1/2 INCHES IN LENGTH. EACH PLAQUE MEASURES 1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER. THE BROOCH MEASURES 1 1/2 INCHES IN LENGTH AND EACH PLAQUE MEASURES JUST UNDER 1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER. Rare Early Cadburys Cocoa Enamel Sign. Very Rare old sign, this is one of the Earliest Cadbury Signs, it has Green writing on a White background, it is made in ceramic enamel. The sign has had a rough life, it looks like someone has tried to fold it in half at some point, the rust has got in but it is a rare piece and well worth adding to any collection or it would be authentic decoration for any design. The sign is 20 high and 36 wide. We only operate an online store and regrettably viewing in person is not an option. We are unable to offer collection. Antique rare Early 19TH Century CHINESE GILT SILVER FILIGREE ENAMEL BRISE FAN

Hello and welcome to. Depicted in vivid enamel colors. If you think differently or have something else to add to improve my description I would be very happy to hear from you. It has 26 sticks in total. As observed one stick is slightly bent, deformated. And is about to break at the bottom. Side is already broken shown with the white little circle in photo #8 and will have to be welded. Which I did not dare to fix and there are some tiny areas of enamel loss and filigree damage, but you really need to look very carefully to identify the latest. When you unfold the piece you get “blank” areas and you need to manually assist it to get it properly open and same when you fold it back meaning that the system needs some repair or adjustment but nothing is missing. Please see photo #8 and #12 where I marked with a. Circle where you can appreciate the stick which is slightly deformated and about to detach and the little white circle in photo #8 showing the little breakage. The ribbon is not original. The total weight of the piece is 145 grams according to my scale. The item is offered original as is as found without cleaning. Please check out my. 7 1/2″ (19cm) is the height and 13″ (33cm) approximately is the aperture lenght when fully opened/extended. The total weight of the piece is 145 grams. Please look at the 2 dollars note (not included) to compare and get an idea of the size of the item offered. Condition is not the best as observed. One stick is slightly bent, deformated. RARE PAIR OF EARLY 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ENAMEL PORTRAIT BUTTONS, ROSINA & BELVILLE, IN LEATHER PRESENTATION CASE. PLUS RARE 18TH CENTURY FRENCH FOIL AND SILK , REVERSE PAINTED GLASS BUTTON. HELLO , THIS LISTING IS FOR A RARE PAIR OF EARLY 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ENAMEL BUTTONS, ROSINA & BELVILLE, IN LATER FRENCH VICTORIAN LEATHER PRESENTATION CASE. THIS WONDERFUL PAIR OF BUTTONS ARE MADE TO PAY TRIBUTE TO THE MAIN CHARACTERS ROSINA AND BELVILLE IN THE 1782 COMIC OPERA BY WILLIAM SHIELD. IT WAS LOT # 412. AND READS: PAIR FRENCH ENAMELED BUTTONS EARLY XIX CENTURY. OVAL SHAPE WITH PAINTED PORTRAIT INSCRIBED ” ROSINA AND BELVILLE”. THE PORTRAITS ARE CHARMING, WITH AN ALMOST FOLK ART QUALITY TO THEM. THEY COME HOUSED IN THIS LOVELY FRENCH VICTORIAN ERA LEATHER PRESENTATION CASE, THAT MY GREAT AUNT HAD CUSTOM FITTED JUST TO DISPLAY THEM. THE TOP INSIDE BACK IS ORIGINAL FROM THE 1860’S, THE FITTED BOTTOM MOST LIKELY DONE IN THE 1940’S. THEY ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, WITH JUST THE NORMAL WEAR FROM AGE. THERE IS THE EXPECTED LIGHT CRAZING TO THE ENAMEL, AND THE BRASS FRAMES TARNISHED FROM AGE. THERE ARE CRIMPS TO THE BRASS FRAMES, AS SEEN IN THE PHOTOS, BUT THIS IS NOT DAMAGE, JUST WHAT NATURALLY OCCURS WHEN THE FRAMES ARE FITTED AROUND THE BUTTON BACKS. THE BACKS OF THE BUTTONS HAVE THE EXPECTED AGE RELATED DISCOLORATION AS SEEN IN THE PHOTO. THEY ARE JUST OVER 2 INCHES HIGH X 1 1 / 2 INCHES WIDE. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PARKE BERNET CATALOG PICTURED IS JUST TO SUBSTANCIATE PROVENANCE AND IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE SALE. JUST THE CUT OUT LISTING FOR THE BUTTONS. THE FIRST LAYER IS EMBOSSED SILVER FOIL, THE NEXT LAYER IS DELICATELY CUT OUT BLUE SILK THAT ALMOST RESEMBLES LITTLE CROSSES, AND THEN FINALLY A REVERSE PAINTED GLASS SCENE THAT SUGGESTS THAT IT MY BE A MOURNING BUTTON FROM THE SUBJECT MATTER. IT APPEARS TO BE A WEEPING WILLOW TREE, NEAR A FENCE, THAT MAY BE A GRAVE SITE OR MEMORIAL OF SOME KIND. THERE ARE ALSO TINY GOLD LEAF ROSETTES REVERSE PAINTED ON THE GLASS, MOST OF WHICH HAVE DISCOLORED OVER TIME. THE BUTTON IS IN OVERALL VERY GOOD CONDITION, THE GLASS HAS NO CHIPS OR CRACKS, BUT THERE IS SOME LOSE TO THE REVERSE PAINTED SCENE. SOME OF THE PAINT HAS FLAKED AWAY.
