RARE EARLY 19thC HAREWOOD & MAHOGANY CYLINDER BUREAU WITH HIDDEN PISTOL DRAWER

WELCOME TO MY LISTING OF THIS. SUPERB RARE EARLY 19th CENTURY CYLINDRICAL ESTATE BUREAU WITH HIDDEN PISTOL DRAWERS AND HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED FROM HAREWOOD & MAHOGANY AND IT MUST BE SAID IS A SUPER PIECE OF FURNITURE. This beautiful bureau has a host of varying size drawers including two pistol drawers and has a wonderful rich patina and colour and measures, 136 cm in height, by 113 cm in length and 58 cm deep and has some lovely detailing, it looks superb and will add character to any room in your home, no matter what the style. It shows only age related wear / character and some very tiny areas of loss to its veneer but should be classed as normal age related use for a piece of its age and type and is minimal and is ready for its new owner to enjoy. All in all a fine piece of furniture made in a time when quality mattered with the cylindrical top opening and closing smoothly, the original Georgian key and beautifully detailed portrait profiled escutcheon just being a few of this pieces wonderful details and a sign of real quality. A Rare & Beautiful 80 Year Old Carved Two Drawer Cabinet. C1930 and Older

A Rare & Beautiful 80 Year Old Antique Carved two drawer continental cabinet. Made in Europe during the reign of King George V In around 1930 to a lovely standard. The plain top over two short drawers with beautiful brass pull handles over a pair of cupboard doors enclosing a shelf. The sides are wonderfully carved ecclesiastical style side panels. The piece appears to made from much older wood, perhaps even 18th century timber so likely remade from an older piece. All raised upon turned feet. Made to beautiful proportions it would grace any room. The wood has a wonderful glow and pleasing patina created over the last 80 years however the inside and back of the piece reveals much older timbers repurposed for this cabinet. Fine set of 8 x hard to find genuine antique Regency reclaimed ring. Pull handles with a. Repeated shell motif in. Petal form to the backplates. The backplates are pressed brass with some of the original gilt wash finish remaining. The rings are tubular/hollow brass. Size; backplates measure 66 mm diameter, 2.6 inches. Weight; lot weighs 226 grams. A beautiful set of handles in good condition with mellow patina and some general wear. No nuts, one has. Short post; see photos. Most of my prices are firm and haggle free. The only listings that I will discount or consider offers for are those with a Make Offer option on the listing. My usual weekly posting day is Wednesday.
