Vtg 18thC Antique Wedgwood Dark Blue Jasperware Ink Stand w/ 2 Inkwells EARLY RARE! Wedgwood dark blue Jasperware double inkstand featuring two inkwells set on a shaped tray. Decorated with classic white sprigged neoclassical figures, floral borders, and decorative classical motifs. Very good overall vintage condition with rich dark blue color, crisp white relief detail, and light age-appropriate surface wear. Small chip to underside base of one inkwell as shown. Inkwell interiors show expected discoloration from age/use. Overall very good condition, commensurate with age. No other chips or cracks. Marked Wedgwood only, appears to be late18th/early 19thCentury.
Offering this sweet antique wood pantry box. Measures 10.5″ D x 6″ T. This pantry has thick wood walls with the best patina and natural wear. Constructed with early nails. (Bottom nail is missing) Has an original dark green paint with the best surface. In some areas looks almost like a worn black paint. Has minor imperfection about an inch as seen in pic 7 on the side but nothing major nor anything loose with this piece. Has a rare signed bottom, I. Rare Antique Dresden 10 Plate-blue (Early 1900’s). Hand Painted flowers on blue background and courting couple with raised gold. I have not found any other plates with this darker color blue in research for information on this plate. There is a tiny spot of missing paint on the front part of the plate and there are no other faults noted. Please view all pictures for details. This was packed in a box with other similar dishes for years.
Ultra Rare Dark Amber Stueben Glass. Buddha Kwan Yin Figurine 1920/30s. This ultra rare heavy clear dark Amber Kwan Yin. The figurine is standing up with a hair bun in the middle of the top of its head. It is wearing a long robe. The black stand in some of the photos is included with the figurine. Stueben glass was made in the United States in the early 1900’s. See the Dimitroff Steuben book. For an example of this piece. Kwan Yin in dark Amber Glass is very rare. This Kwan Yin figurine is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and would be lovely in anyone’s collection who loves rare figurines or centre pieces. It does have seams. And mold lines and air bubbles in the glass and you can feel some roughness around the bottom of the figurine, but it is not damage. The figurine is 10 inches. Is 2.5 inches or 6.5cm across. It is 11 inches or 27.5cms tall on the stand. The figurine is very heavy and solid. The Kwan Yin is very scarce and very hard to find in any colour, you do not see them on auctions anymore. This rare Kwan Yin has been in my collection for a long time, but now someone else can enjoy this lovely figurine in their collection. An Antique German Handmade Oxblood Tornado’Grenier’ Marble. This very collectible and interesting early antique marble was hand made between 1850 and 1860. It is among the earliest type of handmade German glass marbles, from an important and formative period in history of marble making. Grenier’ marbles are consequently highly sought after by collectors and marble historians alike. They are now known as known as’transitional’ marbles due to being produced during a short period of time in Thuringa, Germany; before the cane and rod types. They were handmade by the Grenier family using a hand-gathered technique of swirling and forming the marble; in this case this has created an embryonic floating form within, surrounded by tornado-style swirl-and-tail patterns with a perfect’9′ in generous helping of very dark cochineal oxblood from tip to tail. With whiplash lines and creamy white, in a translucent, galactic base. It is finished with a finely crafted single ground faceted pontil, in the manner of all Greniers; and remains true to type with the muted, sophiticated colours, and beautiful, spontaneous abstraction of design. A real collector’s marble. Size: 21.5mm or 0.84” or 27/32” inch. Condition: In very good condition for it’s age, this marble has a chip near the pontil and a patch of pitting. The wear is all upon one side only; as can be clearly seen in the pictures and video. The slightly textured appearence is a hallmark of this type. A wonderful Early 18th – Late 17th Century oak cradle with a rich original patina. The bottom of the cradle still retains the pine boards and as a whole the piece is in great condition for it’s 300 + years.
