Early 1900s British carriage top hat?? rack, has its original brass & rope netting, couple of holes, please study photos for condition, has only had brush/wipe off & good polish with linseed oil, did original have 6 hooks of the brass variety. Amazing stories it could tell, be great piece either in barbers shop entrance, hat shop, hat collector display, antique train collector or for that movie prop piece from Harry Potter, only 1, has been dry stored for decades. A fine and large antique Charles X carriage clock dating to circa 1820. Comprising of ormolu and inlaid wood, this clock is exquisite throughout. Charles X French Carriage Clock, Circa 1820. Featuring a curved rectangular plinth decorated with inlay work surmounted by a rectangular body with further inlay to the front and sides, housing the twin train clock drum.

This is an interesting little verge fusee carriage clock. I believe it to be English, but have not researched the clock in any way. The movement looks like a watch movement, but the plates are square so I dont think it is. The dial is silvered and nicely engraved and the clock runs. I did not test it for accuracy. I think that the tip of the minute hand is missing. The brass case has a nice patina. I notice that two of the four dial screws are missing. This is a rare and early clock and I doubt your going to see anything similar so dont miss it!
