Rare Brass Early 20th Century Atlantic Power Cable Paper Weigt By Henley London
This is a rare brass paperweight of Early 20th century Atlantic power cable by Henley London. As seen from the pictures shows the three conductors and nicely is turned to a paperweight. I have cleaned the brass bottom of it as it was really dirty. I believe Henley of London started the power cable business in late 19th century and was a well known maker. Is quite a interesting engineering piece. Please look at the pictures for condition and details. Any questions please ask.

LARGE RARE & UNUSUAL, LATE 16th. / EARLY 17th. CENTURY BRASS NUREMBERG ALMS DISH
LARGE RARE & UNUSUAL, LATE 16th. BRASS NUREMBERG ALMS DISH. A superb very large, rare and unusual hand wrought brass alms dish made, I would guess, in South Germany and dates from the late 16th. To the early 17th. It is depicted as the mentioned large hand beaten dish with a relief image of what looks to be two men carrying a brasier looks to me like a giant strawberry! But was told is. In fact the spies Joshua and Caleb returning with the grapes of Caleb on poles on a domed central panel surrounded by a band of chased leaves. While its inner and outer borders are decorated with relief lozenges etc. The reverse has a later added brass suspension point- see photographs and details. It measures 17 1/4 (44cm) Dia. Approx; and is in quite good condition for an item of its age and type, although it does have some faults. As you would expect it has various very old repairs and there is wear to its surface to report – see photographs and details. This is a wonderful piece of very early European metalwork with a superb, unusual hand planished image which is in great original condition for an item of its type and age and with a realistic, yet still low, start price should get considerable interest from all collectors. I must apologise for the poor set of photographs which, try as I might, don’t display its obvious age at all well. Under photographic lights the images look almost polished, which is most definitely not the case, in fact the face surface has the patina you would expect from a piece of its age, while the reverse is almost black? THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS SALE. Almost everything I sell is in the condition I have bought it, unless otherwise stated, (I have learnt to my cost in the past not to tamper with an item), and therefore I have neither had items repaired nor restored. I will endeavour to report on an item which has had either; however I take no responsibility if an item has been tampered with and I cannot detect it. Please don’t waste your time asking for a b. I will dispatch goods on clearance of any of the above. I do not accept – non UK. All parcels are well packed and protected with strong boxes, bubble wrap and packaging peanuts where necessary. Rare Pair Of Baroque Cherub Repousse Brass Stoups. 17th Early 18th Century
Wonderful Pair of Sheet Brass Stoups. In High Baroque Manner. Both feature high-relief repousse backplates with characterful cherub’s winged heads bracketed with bold. Foliate scrolls, volutes and shells beautifully modelled in heavy-gauge brass. Supporting D-shaped reservoir trays. Despite the thickness of the metal, the high points of nose tips and hair have been polished completely. Away over time, which leads me to believe these are period and. Date to the 17th or early 18th centuries. Each has marks and blemishes consistent with great age. One is in much better condition than the other which has. A poorly soldered split to the top left-hand corner (which I’m sure could be better repaired) and a. Replacement reservoir tray which lacks the decorative raised band on the original. Nevertheless, the brass is gleaming bright and both still display well. Approximate Dimensions: Height 15cm (6″) x Width 15cm (6″). The photographs constitute part of the description. Always packed with care.

Rare Early Brass Chandelier. Antique 17th century English Six Light Chandelier
This English diminutive six light chandelier has six arms all individually numbered with punched dots to each arm showing which slots they hook into, corresponding with the dots on the central shaft. The arms are locked in place with an unusual central circular locking plate, screwed down with two hand cut threaded screws. There are some incised lines and dots as naive decoration to the whole. Quite rare to find an English chandelier of this date. It is a very nice early English chandelier and would look fabulous hung in a oak panelled study.

Rare Antique American Brass & Hand-Forged Iron Entrance or Door Bell Early 1800s
This rare find is only one of maybe a half dozen I have seen over the years. It is in amazing condition and fully functional. The cast brass bell is marked “10” and looks like a miniature early church bell. It retains its original cast lead & iron ringer and has a very pleasing ring. The bell is attached to the forged iron hanger with a forged eye-bolt, and the hanger extends vertically and terminates in a wonderful spiral spring which could then be hammered into place with the attached large forged spike. Presumably, the spike would be hammered into a beam or trim near the door such that the movement of the door rings the bell by way of a cord attached to the door and to the eye-bolt on the bell. Or, someone wishing to enter would pull on a cord which would go through the trim from the outside and ring the bell more like a regular entrance bell or doorbell. This piece was probably made in the Northeast between 1800 and 1850. It would be suitable for an important architectural restoration. Dimensions: Bell & Hanger: 8-1/2″ tall, Attachment Spike: 5-1/4″ long, Spring: 1-3/16 wide, Bell: 3″ tall, 3-3/16″ max. All parts are intact with no structural damage, cracks, losses or repairs. Overall original patina is undisturbed.
