Very Rare 7.75 1840s Pink Tint China Doll On Articulated Wooden Body Early Bun

Amazing example of an early 1840s china doll on wooden body. She measures about 7.75 tall. You will get the clothes that she came in, which I carefully removed with a seam ripper. They were not in good condition, so I did not feel badly about taking them off to inspect her body. Her clothing appears a little later than she is from, probably from the late 19 century. I have not seen any damage to her China. On the back of her shoulderplate near the bottom, it appears that part of it is not completely glazed and is a little rougher. I dont think this is damage, but in original flaw. This is the first of this kind of doll Ive had with a China head, and her arms at the top where they meet the shoulder feel a little loose. Perhaps this is the way they were made. It does appear like there is part of the wood missing from her left buttock area, although this is not super noticeable. Vintage Early 20th Century Articulated Bisque. Girl Doll w/ Clothes and Umbrella – RARE. A lovely little collectible girl doll. Bisque material, painted a fair tan color. With painted brown hair. Made in the Philippines (stamped on inside of shoes). DESCRIPTION, AGE AND MATERIAL IS APPROXIMATE. BASED ON GENERAL RESEARCH. Comes with a cute lace dress, bloomers. Hat, shoes and umbrella. The shoes are the only original piece of clothing. The rest was added later. Pretty good condition for its age. A few small cracks present. From smoke/pet free home. RARE Articulated Swivel Arm Early Electric Medical Lamp Clamp Bergmann Era 19thC

RARE Victorian Early Electric Articulated Swivel-Arm clamp-on lamp. I have done much research, but was not able to conclusively identify the maker of this remarkable lamp. Clearly the design indicates that it dates from the late 19th century, and it was also obviously an electric lamp (an early model) – never a gas lamp – but beyond that I don’t know. Could have been a medical or dental lamp, or perhaps simply for the parlor of an affluent and forward-looking early adopter of electricity. Very well made, with original worn fire-gilt finish and patina intact. Socket was replaced at some point, since the one on it now is a slightly later model (1905-ish, I believe). Comes with a fine ruffled’French-etched’ shade, replete with botanicals and cherubim. Shade has slight roughness at the fitter (typical of the era), and one very small’flea’ bite on the ruffled edge, almost impossible to see and photograph, but I did take a photo of it. Rewired with cotton-jacketed cord, there is approx 5′ of running cord from the clamp end. Please use the close-up feature to fully examine the details and condition of this vintage item. 26 overall full length w/ shade. Clamp will accommodate from 5/8″ to 1 5/8″. Rare Antique Articulated Collectors Doll from Kammer Reinhardt, Early 1900. Beautiful Antique Doll from German Doll Kammer Reinhardt dated early 1900s. Head by Simon Halbig. Exquisite Finish and Expression with Eyes that close when she lies down. Neck, Arms and Legs are Articulated. Weight without Stand: 1,057 Kg. The doll presents some cracks on her body and the body appears to have been glued back just below the voice box. This may have been done to access the voice box though we are not certain of this. Head appears to be free of cracks on close examination. Scalp is glued to the head. Kindly refer to our pictures for further details on this Antique Doll. This doll is part of a collection that once belonged to a French Nun in the early 20th Century who looked after children in France after the war. Upon her passing these dolls were found in her attic and passed on to her nephew who looked after them and displayed them in a cabinet away from Dust and Sunlight for many years. Whether those dolls were acquired by the nun at the time or brought over by the children she looked after and then left behind is unknown but it is entirely possible they were once played with.
