This listing is for a Rare Early Antique White / Off White Glazed Terracotta Architectural Fountain Centerpiece of a Child / Boy / Cupid / Putti , wrestling a Fish / Dolphin, Possibly a Greek / Roman mythological creatures Subject. Fish mouth is open and water routes from the underside and comes out the fish’s mouth. 9 3/4 inches by 9/7/8 inches by 30 1/4 inches in overall height with a net weight of approximately 68 lbs unpacked. In as is / as shown condition with loss on one side to fish and putti’s hands and other loss as shown. The piece itself is solid and these losses are possibly as a result of a physical damage like fall or something like that. Item itself is solid and repair will be possible and straight forward to a professional. Amazing posture and face and body on the Putti, Material and construction and glaze all put this piece in 1800’s or perhaps earlier time frame. You have not seen one like it , you will not see one like it. An absolutely amazing piece. Crazed glaze harmonious with its age. Lightly and thoroughly cleaned.
