Scarce Antique Early American Tall Teapot Signed G. George Richardson teapots are in the collections of Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Brooklyn Museum, and others. Lovely Queen Anne style with japanned (Asian-lacquered) scrolled handle. Richardson” and “B on bottom. Size: 9.5″ tall x 9.5″ wide (handle to spout, side profile) x 5 wide (at center profile). Condition: Overall solid with working lid and unblemished japanned handle; 2 small dings to the right of the spout and 1 linear ding to the left of the spout under the middle seam (all shown in last 2 close-up photos). Some surface pitting to spout.

Original leather binding shows some wear, but overall solid and attractive. Some splits starting and some weakening to front hinge, but still solid despite the fact. Overall much better condition than most early American Bibles of this time period. Measures about 11″ x 9.25″ and about 2.25 thick. The majority of books I list are 150+ years old.
