Rare Antique Silver-Plated Ashtray Flemish Baroque Late 19th-Early 20th. A rare early 20. Century paint advertising display unit. Dimensions in inches: H 14″ x W 31″ x D 4 Age: 1920 – 1940 Origin: Paris (France) Condition: Aged. Every now and again we uncover truly on off artifacts, this is one of those items in the form an early 20. Century paint manufactures (ROBBIALAC) point of sale / advertising display. The display is encased in an ebonised pine frame with sections of painted metal bicycle mud guards and stamped with gold leaf manufactures logos centrally. With its original support hooks still in place at the rear, lots of lovely, crackled paint as shown. Just a brilliant thing for any automotive or cycle enthusiast to own. An antique aged example. One of the central logos is dented revealing the material underneath. Worn and naturally aged paper surface. The top left corner of the frame is chipped. This item is solid in form and stable. Really unusual pair of 20th century Japanese (possibly Satsuma ware) vases decorated in almost European style reminiscent of rustic majolica. Each stamped’Made in Japan’ to the base.
