Up for sale is a rare antique early 19th century handmade pewter chalice made by James Dixon & Son. It’s made out of thick pewter into a gorgeous silhouette and has acquired a lovely patina from age. It is signed under the foot, in good antique condition, and measures 8 inches tall by 4 inches wide. There are a couple light dings on the side of the foot as shown in lat photo. Up for sale is a very rare antique early 19th century handmade American forged steel cylindrical door lock. It’s crafted out of thick steel, has good weight, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. It is a unique/rare form with a handmade wrought steel key that turns the threaded locking mechanism. Hello and I appreciate your time. I pack well and attempt to pack just like it was coming to me. I will describe this item to the best of my ability and knowledge. This is Not a repro and Guaranteed Original and comes from a Long-Time Collection. This is a Very Early American Ink and might be from Keene Glass House in New Hampshire. Although, it is Very Unusual that it does Not have Ribs or Flutes near the base on side. It has a Larger Hobnails. It also has Smooth Shoulders. I would date it from about 1815 to about 1840. It stands about 1 3/4 inches tall and about 2 1/4 inches across at base. It stands about 2.5 inches tall. It is dark Black Glass and has a Beautiful Color through light. It has a partial open air bubble at opening to about onion skin depth. It has some tiny nicks on top disc edge, or it could be in-making. Not sure, but very small and mentioned for accuracy’s sake. It has some Honest base wear. No cracks and No repairs. It has Great Shine and is clean. You will be Pleased with this Top-Shelf Example! Strand of 56 red & white Rare Venetian trade beads from the early to mid 1800’s. Most are around 12mm. They are in excellent condition. Weight for the strand is 4.3 oz. He has alot of nice old beads, if you are interested in certain ones.
This is a rather special find. It is a large and heavy Victorian padlock made by E. They were mainly known for making highly secure safes but also made these as well. Very occasionally they become available but without a key which wouldn’t be of much use! Usually they are only seen in collections or museums. Dimensions – It weighs an impressive 965 g, about 2.1 lbs. It is 5 1/4 ” long closed, 6 ” open. It is 3 1/8 ” wide at its widest, 2 1/4 ” at its narrowest. The body is 7/8 ” thick and the hasp is 5/8 ” thick. Also included are 4 smaller keys and a’lost & found’ tag from a company in Newport, Monmouthshire all of which are on a heavy duty key ring. For those of you who, like us, are a little older you will remember that these companies set themselves up all over the country and if found you sent it back to the company and the gave you 5/- / 25 p. Antique Early 1800s French 18k Gold Perpignan Garnet Marquise Ring Hallmarked. Bezel: 1.9 cm (length), 1.1 cm (width). Ring size: US8 (#56). This is a marquise ring of Perpignan garnet, France, circa 1880. The back is also tightly closed with 18k gold, showing the distinctive technique of connecting the center stone to the surrounding stones. Among the Perpignan garnets, the older ones from the 1800s have excellent color and are rarely available. The shank has a leaf design, which shows the beauty of antique garnets in harmony with nature. There are some stains from age, but there is no damage to the garnet and it is in very good condition. The eagle’s head engraving, which indicates 18k or higher gold in France, is also clearly visible. There is a slight depression in the closed setting area on the back, but this is common on older Perpignan garnet jewelry. Please check the sixth photo.
