Early Rare Antique Primitive Folk Art Original Painted Wood BowlRooster 1800’s. Gorgeous 1800’s Turned Bowl. This is an antique wooden bowl that is outstanding. It is in good condition and measures 9 inches in diameter by 2.25 inches tall. It is a classic example where an everyday object is elevated to Folk Art. There is original paint on the outside and inside. The inside has a rooster motif common in Pennsylvania Dutch folk art. The bowl is made of a very hardwood. This bowl is in beautiful condition for being over a century and a half old. Good paint wear all around.

Judging by the blade, tail and scales, this is a VERY old straight. Although it’s not marked as such, this is certainly a razor made in Great Britain. The blade has clearly been polished. There are some removable pits in the metal. The original horn scales are in spectacular condition given the age – some chips are present and visible in the photos. There is hone wear to the razor since these photos were taken in order to hone the razor to shave ready. Blade Height: 5/8” Blade Length: 3” Blade Grind: Wedge Blade Condition: Very good, some pitting that could be ground out. Spine: Simple Scale Material & Condition: Horn.
