RARE ANTIQUE TIN TOY. TURN OF THE CENTURY HORSELESS CARRIAGE. CHARMING AUTOMOBILE MEASURES AROUND 13 CM / BIT OVER 5 INCHES. CLOCKWORK / WIND-UP MECHANISM….. ORIGINAL FIXED-HEAD KEY WINDER. With a careful winding and car held aloft, the motor still runs and spins the rear wheels. LOVELY DELICATE DESIGN, WITH REAR FACING SEAT OPPOSITE THE TIN DRIVER FIGURE. ATTRACTIVE TIN LITHO EXTERIOR IN GREEN / BLACK. WITH ITS RARE ANCIENT RUBBER TYRES, NOW SHOWING EXPECTED DISTRESSED CONDITION…… FLAT SPOTS, HARDENED ETC.. TIN EIGHT SPOKE CART WHEELS, WITH THE FRONT AXLE OFF SET TO TURN / CIRCLE RIGHT. VERY RARE EARLY PIECE. ANTIQUE TOY NOW AROUND 120 + YEARS OLD…….. DISPLAYS WITH EXPECTED AGED / PLAY WORN STATE. Colour fade, litho marks, scuffs, chips, paint loss/flaking to driver, surface oxide marks, rubber tyres aged and with flat spots (motor mechanism still runs with car held up, but tyre flat spots prevent it moving around surface).
