This increasingly rare antique very early Wemyss biscuit barrel is a unique piece of hand-painted ceramic art from Scotland. With vibrant oranges and a foliage pattern, this decorative pot stands at 16cm tall and bears the incised mark of Wemyss. Dating back to the Victorian Era this decorative piece showcases the craftsmanship of the Art Pottery production technique in the United Kingdom. Perfect for collectors of fine decorative pottery, this Wemyss biscuit barrel adds real charm to any space with its beautiful multicoloured design and fruit theme. It is in very good clean condition with no chips and only slight crazing as per photos. Displays well, no chips or cracks slight hairlines to one side of the base. You can see in the last pic. Charming and finely painted small scene titled on the reverse “La Conviction”, executed in oil on copper in the early 19th century. A delicate and expressive composition, characteristic of the Louis XVI – Directoire style. The artwork remains in good overall condition, with a very small loss to the dress decoration, barely visible and stabilized. The piece is housed in its original light wood frame, with an old annotation on the back that is still to be deciphered. A refined and collectible miniature with strong decorative appeal. Period: Early 19th century. Style: Louis XVI – Directoire. Material: Oil on copper, wooden frame. Frame size: 14 x 14 cm approx. 5.51 x 5.51 in. Painting diameter: 8 cm approx. Good antique condition with minor age-related wear. A very small loss in the painted decoration, barely visible and stable. Well preserved and ready for display. Thank you for visiting our page. Antique Ernst Leitz Stand V Microscope (1873, Meiji Era) SN. 1557 – Early Model. This is an authentic antique microscope manufactured by. 1873 (Meiji 6, Japan). Through his technical innovation and business leadership, Leitz developed into one of the world’s leading optical manufacturers. Mechanical Tube Length: 147 mm. Dimensions: H 26 cm × W 7.8 cm × D 8.7 cm (H 10.24 in × W 3.07 in × D 3.43 in). Weight: 1.2 kg approx. Case (See image 4). W 25.9 cm × D 11.8 cm × H 9.5 cm (W 10.20 in × D 4.65 in × H 3.74 in). Fully functional with no operational issues. Very well preserved for its age. Antique item, so minor signs of aging may be present. Markings (See image 10). Engraved on the stage. From around serial number 1350 onward, Leitz microscopes began to bear the engraving E. Leitz in Wetzlar after the succession from Kellner’s workshop. Stage & Diaphragm (See image 11). A Rare Early Mid 1800’s Dolls House. Completely untouched with original interior and exterior decor paint and decorative wall and floor papers. This house is very old and shows signs of age and wear. Five of the original thin glass windows are fractured. I understood collectors of rare items would prefer them unrestored and in complete original condition. If not please contact me 07921583271. The facade mechanism to access is to slide upwards to open and remove and the same to close in reverse. Not heavy in weight. This old dolls house needs sympathetic care and attention. An absolutely fantastic antique cruet set with beautifully preserved original cut crystal bottles. The carving is crisp and elegant. The proportions are beautifully balanced. And yes – it includes the rare cayenne pepper bottle with its pierced top, still present and intact. There are clearly visible maker’s marks on the stand. What I can say with confidence: it is an English silver-plated set from the early 20th century, solidly made and thoughtfully designed. The silver plate shows noticeable wear along the edges and on the upper handle, with warm brass tones coming through in places. This is honest age-related wear and consistent with its age. Structurally, it is strong and stable. The glass is in very good condition. No chips or cracks observed. The set has been carefully cleaned and gently polished where appropriate. The condition visible in the photographs is exactly as described – what you see is what you will receive. No hidden defects, no structural issues, no unpleasant surprises. The silver tray is not original to the set. It has been intentionally paired to complement the cruet and create a stronger visual presence. Together, they can function not only as serving ware but as a refined centrepiece for a dining table or kitchen island. The tray may also be used separately if preferred. Some pieces reveal everything. Some keep a small secret.
