This antique vintage pewter and glass whale oil lamp clock is a rare and unique piece. Featuring a stunning fluted design with a capsule-shaped shade, it stands 13 inches tall and measures 5 1/4 inches wide. The polished pewter base complements the clear glass tube vessel, which includes a candleholder design and numbered markings on the side to indicate time as the oil burns. Designed in a colonial style, this oil-powered lamp is a true collector’s item. While the glass bobble at the top is unfortunately broken, the capsule and font remain fully intact. From a wonderful Maine estate of a true collector of fine antiques, we offer this UNSIGNED early British antique plaque with religious quote “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” LUKE XIII. From our research, we believe it to be a very rare Sheriff Hill Pottery Gateshead Sunderland. The brown painted border has a raised beading design. We believe this dates around 1830’s -50’s. SEE ALL PHOTOS WHICH INCLUDE the FINAL 5 photos AT THE END, some research photos taken from an online site. ONE OF THE PHOTOS FROM OUR RESEARCH HAS THE IDENTICAL PLAQUE WITH THE SAME SCRIPTURE QUOTE! Size: measures about 6 1/2. Wide x 5 6/8 wide. Condition report: Excellent condition for age! There is one tiny area on the brown trim front near left bottom that has some specks of the brown glaze flaked off. There are also tiny glaze pops here and there- probably original. There is a small indentation on the backside edge that also appears original. There are no other chips or cracks and the hanger at top that is original to the plaque is in fine shape. There are some brown paint/ glaze imperfections along or near the outer edges of the brown trim- they ARE NOT chips. See ALL PHOTOS PLEASE!
