Rare early vintage Herbert Terry Anglepoise Lamp 3 Step Base 1227 in Black. Made between 1935 to 1938. This came from an old workshop in Cornwall and is in as found condition. It is working but it would advisable to replace the old cord and bulb holder. All the bolts, screws, springs etc on this lamp are original with no replacements. A Rare Early Sand Timer Hourglass Treen Hour Glass Egg Timer. Ok this is a nice rare early thing turned mahogany on a bit of a lean hand blown glass joined by a resin of some sort which suggests at least early 19th Century the sand is very fine , but you have to shake it up a bit as I think there are some lumps in there maybe a break down of the original resin so it couldn’t be relied on for time keeping of course! Rare Antique Defiance Lantern & Stamping Co. Cold Blast Very Early May 15 1900!! This lantern is an absolute work of art done by defiance Lantern and stamping Company. It is the earliest defiance model I have ever found. It has unbelievable craftsmanship in the stamping and the metal work. The stamps are just about untouched and stand out wonderfully. The Halfmoon cut out on the chimney are gorgeous the 9/16 oil fill is unbelievable. Along with the hinged burner make it an absolute masterpiece for those of you that love a nice flame from a cold last lantern of this quality. Two small holes at base of hinge pins. RARE Africian Agba Stool Kingdom of Benin Edo Peoples of Nigeria early 20th Century beautifully Carved made from what looks like Teak wood. It measures 24″ long by 11″ wide by 19 tall. These stools were usually produced by carvers in Omada, the association of young men who served the Oba as palace pages and sword bearers and who carved in their spare time. The tops and legs tend to be intricately carved with scenes from Benin history, palace ceremonies and traditional Benin motifs. Two examples from the second half of the 19th century are in the Perls collection in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This top of this stool depicts a ceremony with Oba and two other dignitaries signing some inportant agreement or treaty and dates from the early to mid 20th Century.
