Rare Nidor Chronometre Ladies Wristwatch – Solid Gold Case & Hand-Engraved Bracelet, c. This outstanding piece features a solid gold case and matching hand-engraved bracelet, decorated with intricate floral motifs – a wonderful example of early wristwatch artistry, at a time when ladies’ timepieces were transitioning from pendant watches. Brand: Nidor (Swiss) Movement: Manual wind mechanical chronometer Dial: Original, with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock Case & Bracelet: Solid gold (tested, believed 14-18k), with detailed floral engraving throughout Condition: Original vintage condition. Dial shows even patina with signs of age. Bracelet and case very well preserved. Movement untested, but intact. Highly desirable for collectors of antique Swiss timepieces, or as a unique investment in early wristwatch history.

The dial has red paint at 12 hour, typically for military watches. The dial has some small cracks/scratches and small chips. The case shows some signs of wear such as scratches, as you can see from the pictures. The crown has three position, one for winding, one to set up the time and one to unscrew the mechanism. Antique Rare Vintage Men’s wrist watch. DO NOT WORKING CONDITION. Watch-alteration (mechanism from pocket closed gold watches of the beginning of the 20th century, and the case is made on Lenremchas in the 1920s-30s). The case is chrome-plated metal. The case diameter is 49mm. The dial is enamel. The clock, when the mechanism is fully wound, looks a little like it and stops.
