Rare Early Antique Pair of Worcester Dr Wall Period Pre-1793 Sauce / Gravy Boats. Description: For your consideration is a pair of Rare Early Antique Pair of Worcester Dr Wall Period Pre-1793 Sauce / Gravy Boats. These are extremely rare pair of sauce/gravy boats are from Dr. The outside of these sauce/gravy boats are decorated with white high glazed roses & fuchsias, blue flowers by spout and handle. The inside of these boats are decorated in dark blue underglaze tranfer pattern of flowers. The boats are about 6 & 3/4th inches long from mouth to handle and about 3 & 3/4th inches high. Each are shaped to have four peaks around the rim. Each have four peaks around the rim and a big thumb rest. Remarkable condition as they are about 250 years old. One is in perfect condition. The other has a tiny chip on one of the peaks – otherwise in perfect condition. Please look at pictures as they accurately depict the beauty and condition of the set. This Beautifully unusual Hand Painted Royal Worcester shaped cabinet plate Decorated with powder blue and gilt border with a bird in a tree and foilage to the centre and Signed J W Sedgley (Walter). The superb rare plate has the first quality blue Royal Worcester backstamp with the date code for 1911 and pattern number W9482. I have taken pictures all around the unusual plate with a good quality digital camera and paid extra for zoom and enlargement so you can see that it displays beautifully and has no chips, cracks or restoration. Early Worcester porcelain teapot Dr Wall period, c 1765-80. Feather-moulded and painted in underglaze blue with with floral sprigs and insects: the Feather Mould Floral Pattern. Workman’s mark to the base. Condition: There was impurities in the paste when this was been made, which is not uncommon for pieces of this period. This resulted brownish grit marks throughout the pieces. The end of the spout seems to have gotten too hot in the firing process and has ever so slightly left a mark – see images. There is some other firing faults to the lids rim and the lids underside, small nibble to lid – see images. Spout to handle: 18.5cm.
