Rare Antique Elm Knee-hole Bureau, Country style / late 18th c / early 19th c

Rare , Solid Elm throughout , Antique , Attractive and Characterful Knee-Hole Fall-front Bureau. Elm pieces of this age are uncommon. Constructed from well figured elm planks with single planking to either side and top. Having a good colour and well cared for patina. Country/ Vernacular in style. Thought to be late 18th early 19th C. The fall-front supported by 2 sliding support rails revealing a fitted interior with 2 drawers and pigeon-holes. Central draw with brass handles, associated brass escutcheons. Door fronted cupboards to either side of the knee-hole each with a midway shelf. Some slight historic warping to drawer and fall front section , but in sellers opinion adds to the charm and character. No key to locks , (fall front , drawer and cupboards not lockable). Some historic and extinct furniture beetle activity to lining of the drawer and treated as a precautionary measure. Small imperfections commensurate with age. Please scrutinise the photos as these form a good part of the description. Please note that I have no facilities to wrap / pack prior to dispatch. Antique 1800’s Early American Cast Iron Horse Head Hitching Post. This rare style is 14 tall and weighs 25 pounds. Its a 3 diameter post. We see no foundry marks. Cast in massively thick iron (over 25 pounds) this 19th century horse head is in very good condition for sitting outside for well over 100 years. There are no cracks or repairs, but there is some rust and pitting, which you can see in the photos. Please see the photos as they are part of the description and to assess condition. ANTIQUE BLACK FOREST RARE QUAIL TRAIN STYLE CUCKOO CLOCK FROM THE LATE 1800’S early 1900’s. This clock is a stunning attractive clock a must have for one’s collection. This is a Black Forest cuckoo Quail train style clock easily from the late 1800’s early 1900’s. This clock’s color can best be described as a very rich walnut brown with hints of cherry red that catches everyone’s eye. This black forest clock has amazing highly carved detail on a very thick piece of wood that intricately describes it’s vines and leaves. The clock has very attractive inlay. This clock has it’s Quail movement that ticks, tocks, cuckoo’s and gongs like it should. The Quail (red bird) cuckoo’s 1 at the 15 min, 2 at the 30 min, 3 at the 45 min and 4 at the 60 min. The cuckoo(blue bird) cuckoo’s the number of times the hour. The movement has no markings but the paper says from the American Cuckoo Clock Co. This is a working clock and in great condition for it’s age. The clocks hands are beautifully carved from bone and have the same design as the inlay with a star very rare to find(see pictures). The movement has been cleaned, serviced, and oiled. The case has be en cleaned and waxed. The case has it’s original paper on the back of the clock that is in excellent condition for its 100 plus years. This bellow tops have been recovered with new lamb skin/goat skin leather on all three bellow tops. This clock has it’s big plump blue cuckoo bird that sits on it’s metal perch and it’s big plump red quail bird that sits on it’s metal perch. The measurement’s are as followed. The clock is 25 inches tall and 16 inches wide and 7 inches deep. From the very top to the bottom of the pendulum is 28 inches long. The clocks Face measures 7 inches in diameter. This clock comes with 3 antique weights and it’s antique bulls eye pendulum on a brass metal stick. We pack with great care. Rare Early Loetz Victorian Art Glass Enameled Vase Persian Style

Victorian Art Glass Enameled Vase – Webb Moser Mount Washington. This is an absolutely beautiful vase. It has all over enamel flowers, more enamel decoration inside the ruffles of the top rim, and applied handles. The color fades from a dark coral color at the base to almost custard colored at the top. There is some damage on the vase though – one handle has a fairly large sized piece broken off. I included a photo of it. It’s actually not very noticeable since the handle itself is still completely there – the damage part is a decorative piece of glass right under the handle. There is also a very very small chip on the top rim on the outside of one ruffle. It’s barely visible.. I almost missed it when I was checking for damage.
