Perhaps one of the earliest Item I have ever acquired in my 30 years of collecting, is this very early mid 1700s +- gothic wiccan witch carved early oak witch figure. Combined patina, subject matter and its attire are just a few clues to its genuine period timeframe, appears in the form of a perhaps male witch sorta form, notice the cloak garment to go along with the pre colonial hat. The carved wood is very early oak with its early original patina, no signs of residue or clues suggesting it was part of something other than a hanging shelf. It is what it is, one of them items that we just don’t find anymore and a true one of a kind, view my several pics to assess. PS: Carving stands approx.
