THE TOP LIFTS OFF AND THERE IS A POURING MECHANISM. IT IS MADE OF AN EARTHENWARE POTTERY. WITH ONE DECORATIVE FLAIR / FAN. THE SAD PART IS THAT THIS PIECE BROKE AT SOME POINT IN TIME AND WAS REPAIRED. LOOKING AT IT FROM THE TOP, THE REPAIR ONLY SHOWS NEAR THE HANDLE. I’m sure we can.

This is Rare Antique Meerchaum Pipe. It is an early meerchaum Pipe with a tiny bowl. A character pipe with the head of an African American wearing a top hat. It has been in the wars. There has been a lot of damage and has been Heavily Repaired. There has been a repair on the hat and the stem looks like is has had a lot of patches. Seems quite solid now. Some part of the stem is Amber I think. It has a small piece like an extension on the top that takes a tiny bit of tobacco. This piece is in good condition. It comes with a leather covered carrying case. Again repaired on the end. The pipe measures about 4 inches long [10cms]. The head with the extension about 2 inches [5cms].
