Minton Anemone Flow Blue platter/ serving plate. Blue and white floral design. Maker’s mark stamped on the bottom. Note – Crazing throughout. Some brown spots, some scratches and some yellowing as shown in photos. Otherwise, very good antique condition! Approximate measurements: 15″ x 13 1/2″.
I have researched online on this design make and product, I have not found one yet. Some of the tobacco leaf stoneware all seem to have some sort of damage this one is in absolutely beautiful condition from chips cracks and crazing. This is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is a small black mark on the edge of the plate, this looks to be pre firing. The plate has light wear, a nice example and a very rare pattern. It has an Impressed W1932 on the base which dates the piece. The other stamp, or makers markings read. There is a handwritten E/3117, and an Impressed 14. The entire piece measures 16.5 inches x 13 inches. The bird is in the central banal, on a branch, the p, ate has a bright yellow ground, and the border is a typically Art Deco polka dot design. This is an extremely RARE piece.
