Stunning rare piece dating to the 1700s, with fluffy silk trees, and paper instead of silk for the face. The silk on the back is amazingly thick and soft, as is slightly visible from the back. Hand done verre eglomise, this has a wonderful folk feel about it. Has been reframed at some point as there is cardboard support. Minor flaws as shown, including some foil peeling on the black. Stunningly rare older work.
Up for sale is a really nice rare old toilet paper holder. I know it is not regular metal because when I put a magnet to it, it did not stick. I would say it is made of brass or nickel or silver. I believe a good cleaner or polish would really bring out the beauty in it. This item is in the category “Home & Garden\Bath\Bathroom Accessories\Toilet Paper Holders & Storage”.
