Antique early Art Deco Carved Panel Geometric Foliate Snake carvings Pine? A breathtaking antique early Art Deco carved panel from the 1920s featuring both geometrical and foliate carvings with a central snake-like motif flanked by beautiful rounded cornered spiralling triangles and leaves. The softwood is either pine or something similar. It has a low sheen/satin sheen wood finish in a rich medium oak colour on the front, back, top and bottom surfaces, the cut side edges being unfinished. He panel was salvaged from an otherwise plain timber wall panel. It sat as a top capping to the panelling, like a deep dado rail/frieze. This panel measures 36 W x 7 H inches (91.5 x 17.8 cm) and it is 1. Almost 1 3/4 inches (4.5 cm) thick. It weighs around 3kg. The width can be further reduced if required by sawing through the plain sections at either side of the central carved section which measures 17.25 inches (43.8 cm) wide. This panel has been in my personal collection for over 20 years. It comes from a smoke-free environment. In fabulous condition throughout. No faults barring a naturally opened horizontal grain line that runs through the panel from the left and some chipping to the right extreme edge of the top surface from sawing during salvage. On the underside there is a step (where it was once adhered to panelling) which has a strip of crusty glue residue. Please see the images. Rare Early 6 Panel Rugby Football. Antique 3 Lace Hole Leather Ball. C1900

This original antique 6 panel rugby football which dates from between 1890 and 1920 so would be from the time rugby and football were crossing over into two separate sports. Is a smaller size. Has three lace holes with string laces and is made of brown leather. The bladder is the original seamed type with a tube valve and has been fitted inside the ball inflated but does not hold air. The ball holds it’s shape well for display. This early great looking ball which has lots of age related wear is a very rare piece and would make a great collectible display ball for a rugby football fan. Dimensions: Length: Approx 31 cm with curve. Circumference: Approx 55 cm (21 3/4). Condition: Well used antique condition with lots of scuffs, scrapes, scratches and marks. The original bladder is fitted but it does not hold air but holds shape well for display. A genuine vintage rugby football and not a modern reproduction. Please note that only the ball is included and all other items in the pictures are for scale only. All items will be packaged with care and dispatched quickly using a fully insured service.

Large Georgian Antique early 19th agate cabochon gilt bracelet rare panel

A rare early 19th century Georgian bracelet in gilt metal. It is composed of open work panels set with agate cabochons. Beautiful agate stones in hues of red pink brown white. Length is 17.5cm each. About 44mm wide at the widest point. A substantial piece of jewellery weighing about 50g. One stone has a superficial fracture (see photos- hence price), but remains sturdy. Otherwise, very good condition. One of a pair. Given the value, I’m happy to take a return if you change your mind.

RARE American Cigar Ribbon Quilt Topper Textile Panel

Antique, late 1800s to early 1900’s hand made Cigar Quilt topper (no quilt backing) panel. The colors are vibrant and fabric great condtion. Two portions have cigar bands and the middle is a hand crewel embroidered red rose motif. The hand sewn cigar bands have decorative feather stitching and multi color silk satin ribbon accents around the edges. The panel is approximately 79″ long and 50″ wide. The cigar band sections are approximately 21″ squares (not including the silk taffeta ribbon portion) and 29″ including the ribbon portion. The cigar portions and rose embroidery portions are in excellent condition. The outer silk faille ribbon border portions have some fractures where they are sewn together but can be restitched. The outer plain muslin colored fabric has some discoloration. This piece would be cut in pieces and framed for display or displayed as a whole. Please message us for more photos and questions.
