Antique Cast Iron Skillet Gate Mark Early 1800’s Ornate Handle Spout Rare #7. Outstanding Early to Mid-19th century crude casting, iron skillet with early foundry long gate mark, unusual single pour spout, highly embossed size number 7 and fancy molded handle. Top reinforced rim measures 9 inches in diameter, standing 1 7/8 inches tall. Base measures 7 3/4 inches in diameter. It measures 14 inches from the end of its handle, across the pan. Its weight is 2 pounds 12 ounces. This is a well cared for skillet in excellent condition. There is no sign of warping. There are a few small chips (Shown in photo), but no cracks or rust. RARE Early Antique PEWTER Double Handled EGG CARRIER HOLDER Ornate BIRD

Early Antique Egg Carrier. Presented for your consideration is this early egg carrier or holder. The carrier is made of pewter and features ornately designed handles on the sides as well as the top of the carrier. Top of the carrier has two flaps which open to reveal the removable, two tier egg holder. An ornate leaf pattern is on each of the four sides of the removable carrier and there are a dozen slots for eggs. The carrier easily slides in and out of the holder. The front side of the carrier has a small bird engraved into the middle. This early and hard to find egg carrier would make a wonderful addition to any pewter or kitchen item collection! A fun item to store eggs in! There are two holes in the bottom of the carrier but could be soldered. Flaps are bent inward, but not drastically, and the insert shows some bending on both tiers. Bottom edge of the front and back appears to have been repaired at one point. Typical light wear from age and use. Overall in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition.
