From a local smoke free house is this Rare early antique mourning pin or brooch. It is made of 18K yellow gold, contains woven hair with a monogram center under glass, and is engraved on the back, F. It is not dated but is similar to other early examples we found dating from the later 1700’s to the early 1800’s. The pin measures about 1 1/4 inches high and about 1 inches wide. The pin was tested to be at least 18K and weighs about 8.72 grams or 5.6 pennyweight. It is in excellent condition. See photos as they are part of the description. Would make a nice addition to any collection. Guaranteed old and as described.
