Beautiful near matched pair of late Georgian/ early Victorian Minton porcelain encrusted “Florist” vases, dating to around 1830. Highly decorative and richly detailed, each vase features hand-applied floral encrustation, trellis-moulded necks, rococo scroll bases, and fine hand-painted panels-one with flowers, the other with exotic birds. These labour-intensive pieces represent some of Minton’s finest early 19th-century work. The applied flowers, gilding, and painting all show excellent skill and craftsmanship. A very attractive surviving pair. Maker: Minton, possibly Coalbrookdale. Date: c. As is typical for encrusted Minton. Expected small chips/losses to applied flowers. No obvious cracks or structural repairs. Hand-painted panels remain bright and detailed. Gilding in good order. One vase has slightly more flower losses than the other Overall an attractive and rare near pair.
A charming early Minton bone china tea cup and saucer made in 1825-30. This tea duo has a very elegant “N” shape with slightly fluted, waisted cup featuring shaped rims and a raised, curved handle with a uniquely moulded paw shaped lower terminal. The same model of a cup can be found in the A Compendium Of British Cups by Michael Berthoud, plates 757 and 758. The cup and saucer are finely painted in unusually vivid and striking colours (yellow being a notoriously difficult shade to fire). Expertly painted gold highlights further enhance this duo, giving it an additional touch of splendour. Dimensions: cup – 5.6 cm high to the handle, top diameter 9.6 cm, saucer, diameter 14.7 cm. There is one small chip on the underside of the saucer and a hairline crack of approximately 2.5 cm on the cup. These imperfections are minor and do not detract from the overall beauty of the set. Considering its age of nearly 200 years, this tea cup and saucer remain in good antique condition. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

Rare Antique Set 12 Early Minton M & Co Fuchsia Dinner Plates 9.25 Gold Trim. Pre-owned antique plate set with signs of age. No chips or cracks but a few have crazing, one has shallow lines on the back that could be crazing or the start of a crack but it’s only on the back of the one plate and not deep. Some have discoloring on the back. I tried to include close up photos for any that had significant crazing.

A very rare to find antique Edwardian era Minton porcelain breakfast tea trio comprising: – an oversized breakfast tea cup. Height 8cm, diameter 9.5cm – a large saucer. Diameter 16.3cm – a luncheon/salad plate. The items are enamelled with a lovely light turquoise/blue ribbon pattern. Marked as shown, date between 1912 and 1921 approximately. Condition: the plate shows minor discolouration and wear to the glaze as well as some wear to the gilding on the rim; there is a small chip on the base, it doesn’t affect use or display but mentioned for accuracy; the saucer has minor wear to the gilding on the rim; the cup appears to have hardly been used as the gilding is pristine and there is no tea discolouration inside; please refer to the photos for detail. Scarce Early Minton Large Tureen with Lid Antique 1864 – Cameo -Diamond Reg Mark. A very rare piece by Minton. The Cameo pattern decorates the border. This item has been with the same family for 80-100 years. It was part of a 12 piece dinner set originally. Now however, this tureen, lid and oval platter (separate listing) are the only items left. In very good condition. The addition of the diamond registration mark dates the set registration as 12th September 1864. This however does not mean it was the date the item was produced, this could have been produced much earlier. Impressed with Minton over the Backstamp. There is a further mark of C515 and a hand painted’m’ to underside base near edge. There are some areas of age, see photos, of pitted marks. No chips or significant cracks as far as I can see, but please be aware of its age, use and fragility. This is for decoration/display or collectors piece only. Not suitable for food use. This is a delightful item in the antique world of English pottery. Measures approximately 25cm length x 20cm width x 16cm height. THIS IS A LOVELY QUITE RARE TILE MADE AT THE MINTON HOLLINS & Co FACTORY IN THE EARLY PART OF THE COMPANY’S OUT PUT (PROBABLY 1850’s/60’s – SEE CRISPNESS OF DESIGN AND THAT OF THE REVERSE LETTERING) AND WAS DESIGNED BY AGUSTUS WELBY NORTHMORE PUGIN. IT IS DEPICTED IN A FIVE COLOUR GLAZE WITH A FLOWER HEAD PROBABLY A WHITE SNOWDROP? WITH ITS ASSOCIATED LEAVES CONTAINED IN A GEOMETRIC BORDER. ONE THING SHOULD BE MENTIONED IS ITS THICKNESS (A LITTLE OVER 1 [2.5cm]) WHICH I WOULD GUESS INDICATES IT IS A FLOOR TILE RATHER THAN A WALL VARIETY. THE REVERSE HAS THE MENTIONED’MINTON, HOLLINS & Co TILE WORKS STOKE ON TRENT’ MARK, AND ANOTHER IMPRESSED MARK WHICH I CAN’T MAKE OUT – SEE PHOTOGRAPHS AND DETAILS. IT MEASURES 4 (10cm) Sq.
