A German Hand-Made Sapphire Blue Mica Cased Marble. This very rare handmade German antique marble is an early example dating from between 1850 1880. It has a highly sought after’cased’ structure with a layer of clear glass surrounding the beautiful deep sapphire blue base core, which has a formed dip confirming to a gentle swirl. This can be seen in the final photos, which are taken under water to illustrate the casing. The high quality glass is gleaming with colour – and innundated with flakes of silvery, sparkling mica. The thick distribution and lovely colour evokes a clear starlit night. A classic design with a captivating character and an unusual structure; making for a very collectible marble. RARE Antique ca 1919 Royal Dux Porcelain Parakeets Figure Pink E Triangle MINT

This is a super sweet figure of porcelain that has the earlier ROYAL DUX of CZECHOSLOVAKIA mark. It is a porcelain figure of two parakeets. This is an original, not a later piece or a reproduction. See all photos and you can see this piece is in perfect condition! Early pink clay impressed triangle, the 1919 mark and impressed numbers. Before WW I, pink triangles were generally, but not always, left in a bisque, or unglazed, finish. Most Art Nouveau figures in matte glaze, for example, usually have bisque triangles. After WW I, Art Deco figures entirely glazed in a high gloss occasionally have glazed triangles. This figure was made in Czechoslovakia, ca. Following the end of WW I, Bohemia, the home of Royal Dux, was united with Slovakia and Moravia to form a new nation, Czechoslovakia. This change was reflected in the phrase “Made in Czechoslovakia” which appeared in Royal Dux marks around 1919 The letter E continued to be impressed in the center of the pink triangle and “Royal Dux Bohemia” impressed around the oval. This lovely piece would make a great gift for a bird lover or owner of parakeets. Very rare, you will usually find the RD Cockatoo and other birds but I have never come across another parkakeet figure. Would make a GREAT GIFT for someone who has or loves parakeets! RARE BEAUTIFUL McCOY VINTAGE 1915 AMERICAN POTTERY ROLLING PIN YELLOW WARE MINT

Here we have a beautiful vintage yellow ware rolling pin. Produced by the Brush-McCoy Pottery Company around 1915, body of the rolling pin measures 8″ in length and the overall length from handle to handle is 17 ½”. At over 100 years old, this rolling pin survives in in excellent condition with only minor glaze wear on the edges that doesn’t detract. The wooden handles, likewise, are in original condition with no splits or cracks in the wood. Additional photographs and information about rolling pins can be found in Lisa McAllister’s Collector’s Guide to Yellow Ware in Book I on page 62. Considering that most households would have owned a rolling pin, few have survived to this day especially in this fine collectable condition. RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 1800s BASKET WEAVE TEAPOT WEDGWOOD YELLOW WARE MINT

Dating to the early 1800s, this is one of the most spectacular and elegant small teapots you will ever find. This is the only teapot with a rim that sweeps up towards the spout and handle. The teapot is thin walled and was designed and molded by a master potter and has a finely detailed molded basket weave pattern extending around the body and lid. The lid has a small oval handle and a hole to vent steam and aid in pouring. Measuring 4 ¼ to the top of the finial by 7 ½ wide from the spout to handle, the teapot is in original mint condition with no damage or repairs. The teapot is not signed, but the design is similar to known Wedgwood teapots. This teapot does not appear in any of the books on yellow ware and looks even better in person than as shown in the photos. If you are a serious collector, this is one of the finest small teapots you could own.
