RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 1800s BASKET WEAVE TEAPOT WEDGWOOD YELLOW WARE MINT

Dating to the early 1800s, this is one of the most spectacular and elegant small teapots you will ever find. This is the only teapot with a rim that sweeps up towards the spout and handle. The teapot is thin walled and was designed and molded by a master potter and has a finely detailed molded basket weave pattern extending around the body and lid. The lid has a small oval handle and a hole to vent steam and aid in pouring. Measuring 4 ¼ to the top of the finial by 7 ½ wide from the spout to handle, the teapot is in original mint condition with no damage or repairs. The teapot is not signed, but the design is similar to known Wedgwood teapots. This teapot does not appear in any of the books on yellow ware and looks even better in person than as shown in the photos. If you are a serious collector, this is one of the finest small teapots you could own. Measures 10 1/8” x 2 5/8” and has high gloss with very nice recessed stepping to the lettering against the vibrant deep cobalt blue backfield. RARE EARLY Antique Original Jas Hamilton & Co 1 Gallon Salt Glazed Crock MINT ++

T his listing is for an Antique Original James Hamilton & Company salt glazed stoneware 1 gallon crock. This crock was made around the 1860s and it is in mint condition. It measures roughly 8 tall and 4 3/4 across the top from outside to outside. You can see by the markings that this is an early Company piece, and hopefully you can tell by all the close up pictures that this is an excellent piece of stoneware. Its a perfect size to display most anywhere. You rarely find early salt glazed crocks from this company in such good condition so dont let this one pass you by! Please keep in mind that almost all of my items are used and/or vintage items from estate sales, flea markets, auctions, or picks in the South East part of the US. A majority of the items I sell are lightly cleaned. A few items I sell just as I found them; Either case, they may have minor surface dents, scratches, or dings.
