Here for sale is an absolutely stunning antique Zenith mechanical mantle clock in working order. Seems to be ticking alright and keeping okay time. Probably benefits from a service though. Quite a rare example, usually you only see the zenith travel clocks. Never seen one of these time only ones ESPECIALLY in this case. Looks like someone replaced the screws and used some sort of glue. Hopefully the glue can be scraped off and I would recommend replacing the screws as the actual clock barrel can get quite loose on its own because the screws aren’t original! This is a high quality Raingo clock in excellent original condition, rare for its quality and for its unchipped, uncracked condition after nearly 200yrs. Case – very little rub to original gilding and painting. Movement – 8 day striking hour and half hour on a light tinkering bell suitable for the boudoir. Dial – silvered engine turned – Silver age patinated – can be cleaned if preferred but not recommended. Sizes – Clock – 33x18x13cm.
