A VERY RARE ANTIQUE SOLID SILVER GEORGE I CHAMBERSTICK. ASSAYED IN LONDON 1721 (F). 958 BRITANNIA STANDARD SILVER – GOOD HEAVY GAUGE SILVER. HALLMARKS TO THE UPPERSIDE ARE ALL PRESENT BUT WITH RUBBING TO VARIOUS DEGREES. THIS VERY RARE BOWLES NASH 958 BRITANNIA STANDARD SILVER CHAMBERSTICK IS IN GOOD USED 304 YEAR OLD ANTIQUE CONDITION. Offering this beautiful and very rare early version antique Batty & Co. Mustard pot, from the late 19th century. Featuring a striking blue and white glaze, this stoneware jar reads on the front. WHOLSALE & PICKLE WAREHOUSE? FINSBURY PAVEMENT. HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE. (shame on him who thinks evil of it). Were makers of high-class condiments, and their stoneware pots featured vibrant blue and white glazes with bold black transfer-printed letters. Approximate measurements: 4″ tall x 3 ½” wide x 2? Mouth opening. This pot is in overall very good condition, with one minor chip on the top rim. Please view the pictures as your best description of this fantastic pot! I have been sourcing these wonderful antique pots for over 12 years from sources who are actually digging them up in ancient rubbish sites all over England. Our daughter was born there and we enjoyed living in England so much we often went back to visit after returning to the US. Interestingly, this same daughter’s husbands job moved them to London were we have enjoyed visiting our grandchildren and traveling the countryside antiquing. On our many visits we have became friends with many of the “diggers” excavating the ancient dumpsites all over the UK and now source thousands of pots from them every year. I still love the charm they add to every room they are placed in.

1714 Holy Bible printed in London by John Baskett. Very early complete Bible printed by John Baskett. Any John Baskett printing prior to 1715 is difficult to find. Beautiful original leather binding with gold gilt design on covers and spine. Very worn, but covers are holding well. Someone later added the blanks and marbled pastedowns in an attempt to match the originals. The title page is partially stuck to the new endpaper, not allowing you to open it all the way (see pictures). Some damage to the edges and bottoms of first pages (see pictures). Some pages protruding slightly with rough edges. This copy had gauffering on edges, but it’s a bit hard to see now. Mostly clean of markings and such. Some owner inscriptions at rear. Measures just under 7″ x 4.25″ and a little over 2 thick. The majority of books I list are 150+ years old. I do my best to describe imperfections and flaws in the item description, but please review pictures for the best idea of the condition. Check out my other book and Bible listings! This is a rare brass paperweight of Early 20th century Atlantic power cable by Henley London. As seen from the pictures shows the three conductors and nicely is turned to a paperweight. I have cleaned the brass bottom of it as it was really dirty. I believe Henley of London started the power cable business in late 19th century and was a well known maker. Is quite a interesting engineering piece. Please look at the pictures for condition and details. Any questions please ask.

THIS HALLMARK WAS ONLY USED BETWEEN 29TH MAY 1837 TO 20TH JUNE 1837 LESS THAN A MONTH. Antique 188 Year Old Solid Silver basting, gravy or Stuffing Spoon, Fully Hallmarked For London 1837. Fully hallmarked For RICHARD BRITTON 1827 TO 1840 the hallmarks are very crisp & clear, making this a very collectable and much sought after Large Basting Spoon. The Basting Spoon is 30cm/11.75 inches Long, and weighs a very impressive 116gms, there is a monogramme to the handle with the letters AAH in script I believe, but please see pictures to confirm for yourself. The Hallmarks are clearly struck, the spoon is made of a very good gauge of silver. This Basting spoon is 188 years old and has been used, for its age it is in good Antique condition, no dinks or dents to the bowl very little sign of wear, surface scratching commensurate with age, nothing to spoil the over all look of the spoon. A VERY RARE AND COLLECTABLE SOLID SILVER BASTING/GRAVY SPOON FROM A FINE ENGLISH SILVERSMITH.

A lovely survivor, this spoon was made by Daniel Cary. He was well known as a spoon maker. This example is hallmarked for London in 1612. It is in good condition, there may be evidence of an old repair to the deal. Nice set of hallmarks. It measures 16.5cm and weighs 43 grams.

A Georgian silver desk stand, with two capped glass inkwells and a central pen holder with beaded decoration, raised on ball and claw feet, London 1778, maker William Plumber. Antique Victorian Silver Inkwell Superb. This outstanding Georgian solid silver inkwell will make an impressive addition to your desk, with its detailed pretty and delicate floral engravings throughout, a fantastic quality base which holds 2 glass inkwells in excellent condition as well as a prettily decorated candle holder. Would make a great addition to your desk or collection! Hallmarked to the underside of the stand for London 1778 by William Plummer. The three pierced silver bottle holders are each part hallmarked with the lion passant. The bottle caps and collars are unmarked. In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. There is no glass damage and the bottles would appear to be original and matching. A little clouding of the silver on the inkstand base. Approximate hallmarked silver weight is 6.2 troy ounces. Approximate total weight is 1.264 kilos. Approximate dimensions are 18 cm length, 13cm width and. This item displays beautifully but there is a obvious repair to on of the leg which looks as though it has been done a very long time ago. Iam sure this could be made tidier by a professional but I think it just adds to the charm of the piece and I have reflected this damage in the asking price. Both glass inkwells are 100 % original and in superb condition for their age. This lovely item can be used exactly as intended over 244 years ago. I really don’t want to sell this but my wife has pulled rank and I want it to go to someone who will display it and appreciate its beauty. This would make a beautiful present or indulgent treat. If you have a favourite pen like me it’s a perfect way to have it on display. Us serious collectors have spent a fortune on pens but who has a more characterful charming way to show them off.
