Early 19th century leather wallet. Coming with two early documents one from 1824 and the other a Letter 1817 from Portsmouth NH. The wallet is super nice stamped with maker. Johnathan Crosby Holdley Mass. You just don’t find these early examples and would be tough to find another! Condition is nice missing a strap on the back. Measures about 6 inches in length. Antique Very Rare John Tann Strong Box With Key. This fantastic very heavy strong box is an early Tann box in great original condition from 11 newgate street where production of safes and strong boxes were made from 1888 to 1912. The numbers 25648 are engraved on the inside top of the door. This box is solid with only minimal surface rust and the door closes and locks effortlessly. It measures 14″ H x 14″ W x 18 L. Exceptionally Rare Pre Coalport John Rose Coalbrookdale Porcelain Sauce. Circa 1805 – 1810. Rare John Rose & Co Coalbrookdale Porcelain Pre Coalport Circa 1805 – 1820 Sauce Tureen & Underplate. Likely a bespoke commission for an important family, given the incorporation of a monogram. All hand painted and gilded, Great overall condition, considering the piece is approaching 200 years old. There is a chip to the foot of the tureen, and two feint stable hairlines on the underside of the under plate as per the clear photographs. I have similar pieces listed, each with its own condition report, and photographs. VERY RARE EARLY 20TH CENTURY JOHN WRIGHT (PENNSYLVANIA) 1930’S, AME RI CAN VINTAGE CAST IRON RED ENAMEL PAINTED BEARDED DEVIL, HOLDING 3-PRONGED SPEAR, with CURLED FEET & LONG HOOKED TAIL CHIMNEY DAMPER PULL, STAMPED J. (JOHN WRIGHT) on EACH FOOT, RESPECTIVELY. [Original linked metal chain not included]. Early 20th century Ame ri can vintage decorative cast iron painted chimney damper pulls. 9″ Height x 3 14″ Width. Weight: 9.8 oz. Offered for your review and consideration is this very rare and now quite scarce original, authentic, early 20th century, John Wright (Pennsylvania) vintage, signed red enamel painted cast iron chimney damper pull, featuring the image of a horned, long bearded devil, holding a three-pronged spear with a long, hooked tail and curled feet. The paint’s original to the piece and is first generation. All the surfaces on both sides of the flat, bas-relief painted figure are original and don’t have any enhancements or in-painting’ old or new. There are a few very small nicks in the red enamel painted finish, mostly found on the edges of the cast iron form and which are testament and evidence of its vintage pedigree. It was realized in the 1930’s by the John Wright Company of Pennsylvania and they would have been attached with a linked chain through the hole found in between the middle and left prong of the devil’s spear. The user would have pulled the devil figure down at the curled feet, opening the hinged damper valve inside the stack of the chimney. A chimney pull even the Devil himself would be proud of. Very RARE circa 1850 antique English Copeland china for John Mortlock, London large covered vegetable bowl or soup tureen. The tureen is marked with impressed “Copeland” mark and 1733 red pattern number on the buttom. The lid is marked with retailers mark John Mortlock, Orchard St, Oxford St, London. Fabulous multi-colored Imary pattern. Fresh from a local Estate Sale. Was a merchandising rather than a manufacturing operation. Dimensions: approximately 11-1/4 inches long x 4-3/8 inches tall to top of the lid x 6-5/8 inches wide (28.5 cm x 11 cm x 16.5 cm). Stylish and Stunning Stag Tall Chest of Six Drawers. This is a stunning six drawer chest in teak. This is part of one of the early ranges designed by John and Sylvia Reid. This has wonderfully styled solid Brass pull ring handles anhandles that very well with the smooth teak veneered drawers. This unit has nicely proportioned drawers with the more slender ones in the middle. The sleek unit is then set on top of sleek teak square legs. These drawers have very strong mid century design influences and a very modern minimalistic design which is very typical of John & Sylvia Reid. Very stylish retro item with very very high end build quality. The condition of these drawers is very good. They are overall for Condition 8.5 out of 10. Very clean top and front. No broken or loose parts and have been very well looked after. Drawers all run smoothly. They have also been refinished in a combination of oils and waxes to give a deep shine to the grain. Lovely item that would fit seamlessly into a ultra contemporary or vintage themed home. No major damage or defects. This item may be collected in person or by a courier of your choice.
