For sale here is an original vintage roll down school chart of. JELLYFISH – JUNG, KOCH, QUENTELL. Produced by Frommann & Morian and Hagemann in Dusseldorf, Germany in the 1920’s or 30’s this is one of the first versions of this chart and is a collectors piece. This beautifully illustrated chart shows jellyfish. Width (including poles):93cm/36. (without poles 85cm x 106cm). Printed on paper, it is backed with canvas and has black wooden poles top and bottom. This chart has spent most of its life rolled up in a school cupboard so the colours are still bright. The condition of this chart is good, some creases and signs of wear across the chart with some creases slightly heavier than others but that is to be expected in something that is 80 + years old. These old charts were produced as educational tools for schools and colleges by. Teacher Heinrich Jung, artist and biologist Gottlieb von Koch and. College director, Doctor Friedrich Quentell. The dark background acts as a chalk board which allowed teachers. To annotate them during the lesson. First published by Frommann and Morian in the early 1900’s Hagemann became involved in the production around 1928 first in conjunction with Frommann and Morian then on their own from around 1963. You can find modern reprints of these charts from many online sellers but they lack the atmosphere and history of the vintage ones. All of our charts are sourced from schools and antique markets across Europe. We have many other charts and maps for sale so be sure to check our shop. Thank you for looking.
