From my own collection, a genuine ancient early Iron-Age European socketed axe head. The artefact was heavily rusted and has been carefully cleaned to remove rust/debris and has been treated and stabilized. The early use of iron was first employed into known bronze-age patterns and techniques, hence the first axe heads where socketed.. A rare chance to own one of these rare early iron age artefacts. See picture for condition. Date: circa 500 century BC Size: length apx 125mm For your own benefit, please read the information given below. A rare and genuine early oak iron bound chest from the 16th Century. Nice dry patina, colour and iron work which commensurates with age with a couple of small replacements eg small piece key in framed lid. However, overall all original. A little rickety but so would you be if you were over 500 yrs old!!! But you can forgive such a lovely old thing. Imagine what it could tell you if it could talk! Not going to fall apart anytime soon though and still great for storage! Also can use as a gorgeous old coffee table/side table. Very rare original 16th century Swiss stained glass window (not a later 19th century recreation). These silver stained glass lead-light windows often celebrated a wedding and this particular window displays family arms and text caption below in German pertaining to family name’the house of… And dated above and below 1517- incidentally the start of Martin Luther’s Protestant Reformation that year. Excellent original colours that look magnificent in the light. In the photos the panel is angled against a white wall with a small amount of light illuminating from the back. Note, when flat against a wall the panel looks less lively as shown in last photo. Originally would have most likely been inset into a larger plain roundel type window in the family’s home as a centrepiece from what I understand. Measures 485mm x 370mm. Condition is outstanding for age and the lead appears to be original as are all the stained glass panels, there is only one very fine hairline crack to corner of one panel as can be seen in photo 4; part from that I really cannot fault this window. Difficult to find anywhere in the world of this age, quality and condition… Really belongs in a museum! This is a genuine old minton majolica chinaman teapot, it measures about 13.5cm high, 18cm long. Probably dates from around 1870 or so, its impressed MINTONS on the base. This is an extremely rare old teapot, you will find lots of reproductions but this is guaranteed genuine. Please read condition report. Modelled as a Chinese actor in a turquoise floral robe holding a Noh mask from which the spout projects. His head the lid and the handle formed by his braided hair.
