Up for sale is a rare antique Austrian portico clock, with silk thread movement. This piece is by CF Felsch, an Austrian clockmaker who worked out of Berlin in 1816. This clock was inherited from a late relative who restored clocks. This one was noted to have been serviced last in 2017. The clock ran when tested with a loud bell chime. This piece is absolutely stunning. It features a wooden, almost Biedermeier like casing, with carved lattice work, gilded metal ornaments, ebonized marquetry, and burled detailing. The piece is in overall good condition- a few minor chips around the keyhole on the dial, and some age cracks in parts of the wood (see photos). Measures 14.75 x 8.5 x 22 inches. This item is part of an inherited estate. We are not clock experts, so time accuracy is not guaranteed. Please see all photos for details and feel free to message with any questions.
