A stunning, sort after antique art deco pink lustre art vase. Featuring hand applied glaze with lustre finish. Ideal as a decorative piece, nice quality, fine item, with markers marks impressed. Really unusual item, gorgeous hand painted, vibrant colours, beautiful, very tactical. Good piece with no major damage. No chips or nibbles, there is some crazing to glaze and some hairline crazing inside vase. The item seems stable and this does not appear to be deep cracking. We have shown as best in pictures as possible and price reflects. Standing piece approximately 17cm tall and 5.5cm wide at widest point (base). THIS IS US?? I cannot locate any other examples of this design, nor the’Disraeli’ ribbon mark. It’s clearly an early example of Staffordshire Aesthetic Transferware, but there is no record I can find of a maker using the name,’Disraeli’. There are other examples of Disraeli dedicated, & “themed” items, but nothing with this mark, & the design itself is utterly unlike any other I’ve seen. Hard to make out, but the impressed stamp also leads one to give this baby an early date. I’m thinking about 1860. It’s in fantastic shape, considering its age & likely distance traveled in its life. Terrific crazing showing its age beautifully! No significant chips not repairs apparent anywhere.
Rare Antique Chelsea Flash Pistol Camera Light. Before Fash Bulbs were invented. The flash pistol enabled a photographer to get extra light for photographs in early photography. The round bowl would hold flash powder which would be ignited when the trigger was pulled. The lid remains open, but is a friction fit and new owner will need to adjust to stay down. This is a very rare piece and would be a great addition to a Camera collectors’ collection. The trigger action is fully functioning. Please see pictures they are part of the description. When researching this piece, we could only find one in a museum for reference. This item is in the category “Cameras & Photo\Vintage Movie & Photography\Vintage Parts & Accessories”.
