Rare Antique Early 1900's Colonial Brass Electric Fan 12 Brass Blade And Cage
RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 1900’S COLONIAL BRASS ELECTRIC FAN 12 BRASS BLADE AND CAGE. The fan was originally built to be used with direct current that was available in some parts if the US in the early 1900s but the motor burned up prior to my ownership. I replaced the motor and switch with a 110 volt model which makes it user friendly. The finish on the Colonial is bare metal that was coated with linseed oil and baked, several original parts were replaced with brass. The fan is a front oscillator that runs well on all three distinct speeds. The item “RARE ANTIQUE EARLY 1900’S COLONIAL BRASS ELECTRIC FAN 12 BRASS BLADE AND CAGE” is in sale since Tuesday, September 15, 2020. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Kitchen & Home\Electric Fans”. The seller is “peterson46″ and is located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This item can be shipped worldwide.

RARE Articulated Swivel Arm Early Electric Medical Lamp Clamp Bergmann Era 19thC
RARE Victorian Early Electric Articulated Swivel-Arm clamp-on lamp. I have done much research, but was not able to conclusively identify the maker of this remarkable lamp. Clearly the design indicates that it dates from the late 19th century, and it was also obviously an electric lamp (an early model) – never a gas lamp – but beyond that I don’t know. Could have been a medical or dental lamp, or perhaps simply for the parlor of an affluent and forward-looking early adopter of electricity. Very well made, with original worn fire-gilt finish and patina intact. Socket was replaced at some point, since the one on it now is a slightly later model (1905-ish, I believe). Comes with a fine ruffled’French-etched’ shade, replete with botanicals and cherubim. Shade has slight roughness at the fitter (typical of the era), and one very small’flea’ bite on the ruffled edge, almost impossible to see and photograph, but I did take a photo of it. Rewired with cotton-jacketed cord, there is approx 5′ of running cord from the clamp end. Please use the close-up feature to fully examine the details and condition of this vintage item. 26 overall full length w/ shade. Clamp will accommodate from 5/8″ to 1 5/8″. The item “RARE Articulated Swivel Arm Early Electric Medical Lamp Clamp Bergmann Era 19thC” is in sale since Friday, September 13, 2019. This item is in the category “Antiques\Other Antiques”. Includes original (or at least, very old) Bryant paddle-switch sockets with the complementary shade holders. A very handsome piece that I restored for my 1904 apartment, but other projects demand that room be made so I wish to pass it along to another collector. It’s somewhat unusual in style for this era, having a body shape suggestive of Williamsburg chandeliers, and speaking to the neo-Colonial sensibilities in the decorative art of its period. The laurel wreath motifs that decorate the lowest portion of the body enhance the effect. Included is a pair of frosted milk glass shades with a ribbed urn motif. In generally good shape minus one damaged shade holder. The holder still does its job, but all the damaged parts will be included in case you’re handy with soldering and feel confident in making the repair. Newer wiring and modern steel hanging equipment allow it to be easily attached to any ceiling junction box. With some assembly it could be ready to hang the same day it arrives. Please do correspond with any questions. Thanks for your interest. The item “Rare Brass Early Electric Ceiling Fixture Victorian Colonial Restored” is in sale since Friday, July 26, 2019.
