Exquisitely detailed antique bronze sculpture cigar cutter. The fox is absolutely wonderfully crafted. Probably pre the 1920s. Unsigned, however I believe it to be Austrian. The case measures approximately 4.5 inches by 2 inches wide by 1 inch thick. It has a total weight of 80.1 grams. The surface has been tooled with multiple designs as well as a monogram on the top. The straps to hold cigarettes in place remain on the inside. The case opens and closes without trouble snapping closed with latch mechanism. Dings on the top and bottom from use as cigarette case. Hallmarked on the edge with an early 19th century Russian imperial mark comprised of an 84.
This is a awsome piece. Still a solid box. I think it was made sometime between 1883 and 1910. This caught my eye and I had to have it. This is definitely a first for me… And most likely the only. This one goes way back. A very cool piece of American history.
Antique, late 1800s to early 1900’s hand made Cigar Quilt topper (no quilt backing) panel. The colors are vibrant and fabric great condtion. Two portions have cigar bands and the middle is a hand crewel embroidered red rose motif. The hand sewn cigar bands have decorative feather stitching and multi color silk satin ribbon accents around the edges. The panel is approximately 79″ long and 50″ wide. The cigar band sections are approximately 21″ squares (not including the silk taffeta ribbon portion) and 29″ including the ribbon portion. The cigar portions and rose embroidery portions are in excellent condition. The outer silk faille ribbon border portions have some fractures where they are sewn together but can be restitched. The outer plain muslin colored fabric has some discoloration. This piece would be cut in pieces and framed for display or displayed as a whole. Please message us for more photos and questions. Early Rare Antique Wooden Cigar Stacking Rack From York, PA Primitive. This Antique cigar rack is a piece of early tobaccona made in the USA when cigars were still rolled here in the USA. Not sure exactly of its vintage but looks to be late 1800s to early 1900s. Its painted brown and has a wall hanging hook on the back. Maybe it was used to keep count of the cigars or to dry them. There is a sticker on the back stating what it is and where its from but no actual vintage date. It looks handmade and put together with small iron nails, showing some patina but in very good condition for its age. It stands about 8.5″ tall x 20″ wide x 5 deep.
