Offering this sweet rare size crock churn. Measures 9.75″ T x 6″ top (5″ inside) x 6.5″ base. This piece has a double ear handle with a great form and size. Has a bold cobalt blue decoration. Has a couple chips on top lip as seen and a faint tight line on left side behind the “ear”. Wonderful size for display. Expect wear and minor imperfections consistent with age and use.

This is a nice RARE VERY EARLY JULIUS NORTON BENNINGTON VT COBALT BLUE FLORAL STONEWARE CROCK/CHURN. THE FLORAL FACE IS BEAUTIFUL WITH NO LOSS. It is in USED UTILITARIAN condition. It is obviously missing an ear, has glaze loss, cracks and a chip at the base. That is why it’s priced low. From the from the front it looks ok. It measures 11″h x 7.5″w at rim and 8.5w base. A great gift for any beginning collector of Norton Pottery, Bennington Pottery, Cobalt, Crocks, etc.. You just don’t see the Julius Norton Churns much. Other Bennington VT Nortons (and they’re many), Yes. Usually when they got to this state they were smashed on a rock. It’s kinda amazing this one’s still around.
