ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER CHERUB HAND MIRROR FRAME. A beautifully crafted sterling silver hand mirror frame dating to the early 20th century. The hammered back is richly decorated with raised relief cherubs or angels, while the ornate handle features additional cherub detailing, reflecting the fine artistry of English silversmiths of the period. Although the original mirror glass is missing, the frame remains a striking decorative piece with superb character. Rare Early WMF Silver-Plated Table / Toilet Mirror – Rococo Revival Style, c. A scarce and elegant 19th-century Rococo-revival style silver-plated table mirror by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), dating to around 1885. This piece bears the first WMF mark, placing it among the earliest works of the world-famous German foundry. WMF was created in 1880 following the merger of Daniel Straub’s Geislingen factory and Alfred Ritter’s Esslingen factory, and quickly became renowned for its fine quality electroplated wares. The mirror is richly decorated in lavish Rococo motifs, with scrolling garlands and a charming winged cherub descending on a rope. The frame includes a foldable stand, making it both decorative and practical. Origin: Germany, WMF (first mark). Dimensions: Frame 32 × 19 cm, mirror plate 17 × 11 cm. Weight: 1.22 kg. Condition: Good antique condition – slight foxing to mirror plate, top of frame subtly bent (does not detract from appearance). Polished with museum-grade Renaissance wax for preservation. “Antique (1814 – 1845) Porcelain”. The design is very unique; it is decorated with cherub scenes and framed in gilt and painted foliage designs against a white background. The spout and handle feature gilt accents, and the lid is finished with a floral design in high relief and two scenes of cherubs. Marked on the underside with the blue crossed Meissen hallmark. Even with the repair, this is a lovely item that would make a wonderful addition to any collection. Size: Height 3 1/2″, Diameter (widest point) 3 1/2″, Length 6 1/4 (end of spout to end of handle). Condition: There is a small chip on the end of the spout. The handle has been professionally repaired in the past. Wonderful Pair of Sheet Brass Stoups. In High Baroque Manner. Both feature high-relief repousse backplates with characterful cherub’s winged heads bracketed with bold. Foliate scrolls, volutes and shells beautifully modelled in heavy-gauge brass. Supporting D-shaped reservoir trays. Despite the thickness of the metal, the high points of nose tips and hair have been polished completely. Away over time, which leads me to believe these are period and. Date to the 17th or early 18th centuries. Each has marks and blemishes consistent with great age. One is in much better condition than the other which has. A poorly soldered split to the top left-hand corner (which I’m sure could be better repaired) and a. Replacement reservoir tray which lacks the decorative raised band on the original. This is a rare pair of antique bisque porcelain cherub angel holding urn candlestick holders. The unit type is a unit, with a country/region of origin in Occupied Japan. The color is multi-color with original and authentic Victorian style. The material used is bisque porcelain, with a maker of Ardalt. It is a great addition to any antique collection, perfect for home decor, or a thoughtful gift for antique lovers. They have a fantastic details. All trimmed out in gold. The urns hold a taper candle and also be used for a faux plant. They are great mantle pieces or accent pieces for any room. The cherubs have a soft look to the faces, hair and eyes. Rare Antique Bacchanalian Cherub Jug C1852 – J T Lockett – Large Moulded Jug. Quality antique jug with registered diamond mark to base – the only reference I can find to this piece is a blue version held at the VA – nothing for sale elsewhere so a fair assumption it’s a scarce jug – some damage to one of the cherubs as pictured and could do with a clean otherwise a presentable piece – one for the collector!
