Here’s an antique chatelaine clip dating to c. 1st quarter 20th century. It is constructed of metal with a strong gilt finish. The top of the clip is set with a scarab made of turquoise glass with gold painted details. It suspends a trio of textured chains, each with its original spring clasp. I have not seen such a design before. Unsigned, possibly of Czech origin. DIMENSIONS: total length 7 1/4; scarab setting measures 27x21mm.
