Up for sale is a rare antique early 19th century handmade pewter chalice made by James Dixon & Son. It’s made out of thick pewter into a gorgeous silhouette and has acquired a lovely patina from age. It is signed under the foot, in good antique condition, and measures 8 inches tall by 4 inches wide. There are a couple light dings on the side of the foot as shown in lat photo. Joseph Hoffman-Moser Rare Early 1900’s Hand Made Ruby. Gold Gilded Chalice Lidded Goblet. Very rare & unique piece done by a Master Glass Artist. Rare, unique early 1900’s Lidded Chalice/Goblet made byJ. Hoffmann at Moser Glass Works this early. Gorgeous raised Ruby Cabochon panels (8). W/matching Lid, gold gilding all over, 8 facet stem work to base, perfect throughout, top, stem, lid, small chip on top of base. However this is a early 1900’s piece of rare Art Glass that lasted through 2 World Wars to make it to America. We have owned for 30+ years, estate sale in NY mid 80’s. 5 inches tall w-lid on, 6.75 w-o lid on, 3 inches across at rim, thick glass walls around 8 panels. Cup is 3.5 inches deep, incredible stem work 8 facets down to thick base of 8 facets base= 3 inches by 8 facets as well. Base is 1/2 inch thick, polished pontil.
