1815 Holy Bible Stereotyped and Printed in New York by D. This is the first Bible printed in America using stereotype plates made in America. This printing is much more rare than the 1812 Bible Society of Philadelphia printings and is difficult to find in any condition. The actual binding of the pages is solid. Front cover worn, but not in terrible condition for age. The rear cover has been affected by water damage and is very warped/discolored. This affects a small portion of the spine as well. Though there is some staining to pages, luckily it’s very minimal when compared to the cover. Typically when you see this kind of water damage to the covers, it also drastically affects the pages as well. But in this case, either a rebind or a replacement of the rear cover would nicely preserve this rare printing! Pages have the typical foxing you would expect from a Bible of this age. Measures about 7″ x 4.5″ and about 2 thick. The majority of books I list are 150+ years old. I do my best to describe imperfections and flaws in the item description, but please review pictures for the best idea of the condition. Check out my other book and Bible listings! I may have more like this one that you would be interested in!
