This gorgeous brooch has a large faceted Georgian mine cut paste stone, and picks up the most gorgeous light reflections, In some light conditions it takes on a really nice frozen look, just like a real comet. The brooch is not hallmarked, which is not uncommon for the era, but fully tests as gold. The brooch also has a tiny (Comet Man) sat on the tail of Comet. This rare brooch is one of the nicest I have seen before, It is also possible for the brooch to be worn as a pendant. Antique comet brooches are highly collectable, and even rarer to find with such a large stone. The little comet man makes it just that bit more unusual.
