Early Herbert Terry Anglepoise Lamp Three 3 Step Base 1227 1935-38 Vintage Rare

An early, 3-step Anglepoise lamp by Herbert Terry & Sons. In mostly original condition, with its original red wrinkle paint on the base and shade. This is in’as found’ condition, I have not attempted any cleaning or restoration. Please note despite the lamp being in full working order, it has not been PAT tested. That will be solely up to the new owner to obtain one if required. Somebody, sometime, has rewired this with normal cabling, a plastic red switch and a modern bulb holder…. I was considering replacing all this with original parts, but I’m lacking the time.. The bulb holder is not properly attached to the shade, as shown in the last photo. It still works fine like this though. Some of the paint has flaked off the shade, as shown in photo #6. There is also paint loss, and some bubbling on the base – see photos #7 & 8. The bottom of the base is missing its felt cover. Please see photos for condition. Message me with any questions.. A very rare opportunity. This item is located in Ireland.
