Rare Early Vintage Silver King Clarinet
June 5, 2021
This may be one of the first Silver King Clarinets made with a sterling silver bell, probably around 1926. It is very unique, and something special for a collector. Out of thousands of metal clarinets Ive owned (see The Silver Clarinet Site on the internet) this one had a bell that flared out just a little more than any other, and different from any other Silver King Ive had. The barrel pushed in all the way is HP (This might be something you must have if you are engaging in an original Dixieland Band), but pull out the barrel to the edge of the cork and you have something like LP. In other words it might have issues about playing in tune for some people. I really loved playing this clarinet solo! A fun clarinet to play, and a must have for your Silver King collection. Comes with a rare Selmer Magni-Tone mouthpiece (at asking price). Offers lower than asking price will exclude the mouthpiece. Rare vintage reed included. Fantastic antique collectible that is still in excellent playable condition. See my other listings for more treasures from my collection. Rare Early Vintage Silver King Clarinet.
