Rare Antique Silver Elephant Inkwell with Bronze Flautist Monkey. Gorgeous antique silver plated Indian elephant inkwell featuring a little bronze monkey playing the flute. Highly detailed with elephant headdress and a beautiful uplifted trunk. The tusks act as a pen rest. 6.5″ by 5.5″ by 4.75 made circa 1920, likely German or Austrian. It’s a beautiful rare form. Looks to have been mounted at one point and does not rest flat. You would need to make a small cut on the added bar for it to lay level. Dent in base on left side.
