Antique Early 19th Century Old Sheffield Plate Silver Teapot Rare. This rare early 19th century old Sheffield Plate silver teapot is in the French Empire style and in good condition but with flaws of age and use. There is an old repair at the top of the wood handle done with custom curved small silver mending plates and silver screws. There are several small dents near the base of the body and above the inscription on the main body of the teapot. At the point where it is fastened to the body, the handle has some play in it but is secure. There is also play in the lid hinge but that is also secure and functional. Bleed- through is evident above the inscription, on the spout and at various places where the decoration is raised. The inscription is quite worn but appears to read Jun 1st 1875 so was either added at a later time or originally read Jun 1st 1815 and was modified. It is 12.25 in. High, by 9.25 in. Wide, tip of spout to tip of handle, by 5,5 in. Deep, at tips of paw feet. Circa 1810 and guaranteed to be as described. Listing and template services provided by inkFrog. Very Rare, Very Early Antique Eye Glasses, c. 1790 – 1800, With Sliding “Adjustable” Side Bows. Scans show it all….. VERY NICE, VERY early pair of antique eye-glasses. ANTIQUE GLASSES ARE ALWAYS NICE, AND THIS PAIR HAS IT ALL FOR ANY COLLECTION OF EARLY PERIOD PERSONAL ITEMS, OR AN EYEGLASS DISPLAY OR COLLECTION. YOU COULD ALSO REPLACE LENSES WITH YOUR OWN PRESCRIPTION LENSES, If desired, FOR A REALLY GREAT ORIGINAL EARLY 1800 LOOK!! Lenses on these are not oval, but actually have a slightly modified 8-sided octagonal shape, as shown in some of the scans, typical of this period. They also have nice “extending” side bows to help adjustment to different size and shape heads. They also have “holes” on each end of the bows, which would allow for a ribbon or cord to be fed through and tied around the head, to help hold them on if they were not tight enough. Really nice, early style, AND STILL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!! One of the bow hinges has a very small period repair to the pin where it joins the front, but otherwise the pair is perfect and both bows are original and match. Nice, because often the extending bows/mechanisms and front which are often broken or bent or don’t match. Both lenses are original and match. Rare Suite of Antique Tudor Crystal Glasses. Art Deco Diamond Facet Bobbin Stem. I have searched extensively for this pattern on Google and even contacted Tudor Crystal in Stourbridge. The closest pattern I can find is “Castile” so the suite could have been custom made for a client. The bobbin stem is not typical of Tudor crystal but some o the glasses are signed with the Gothic script. ENGLAND was added after the 40’s so this is an early rare set and lots of it (39 pieces). The set comprises;(height x rim). 2x Water glasses 5¾ x. 6x White wine glasses 5? 8x Red wine glasses 5. 5x Sherry glasses 4? 6x Liqueur glasses 3¼ x 1? 6x Conical tumbler glasses 3. ¼ (One has a chip to rim). 1x Flared tumbler glass. 5x Champagne saucers 3 x 4. ¼ (One has a chip on the rim and another has a chip on the base). Glasses that are signed are pictured upside down and the three chipped glasses are pictured on the right. In total only 3 glasses have chips which are all shallow and could be ground out.
