Rare Early 2/3 Step (Small Shade) Herbert Terry 1227 Anglepoise Lamp in Gold

Purveyors of wonderful things. Hello and welcome to the sale of this superb anglepoise lamp. Made by the British company Herbert Terry & Sons in 1938 this lamp is the sought after pre-war example with a smaller perforated shade, taller fork, mid-section tensioner and earth disc. This particular example comes in it original gold painted finish and has its Crabtree bakelite bulb holder. It has been stripped, cleaned and rewired with three meters of new fabric cable, that is correctly earthed to the frame (as per originals) and new felt to the base. If your interested in Herbert Terry lamps you will know this is a good example of a rare lamp (they made less of these than the earlier 3 step version). Rare early velvet Steiff begging dog with button

A rarely seen, early miniature Steiff velvet dog made in a begging position. Known as Teo, he still has his underscored’ff’ earbuton c. 1908, and sits 10 cms (4) high. All original, except for his neck ribbon, Teo has tiny black bead eyes, and an embroidered mouth with some faint red airbrushing above it. Woodwool-stuffed, there’s some slight settlement to his right ankle, so he needs a little persuasion to sit on his hind legs. But once erect, he usually stays that way and doesn’t topple over! There’s a scrap of his original collar remaining, along with strands of neck cord and, overall, he’s in good hound dog condition, with just a patch of discolouration to his back. This cute diddy character travels with his homemade velvet cushion, and is shown with his feline friend Tabitha, available in a separate listing. Rare 13 antique china doll with unusual hairstyle that I havent had before. Please note that she has an early repair to her shoulderplate area. Her original dress covers this up nicely though. She has an original body and limbs. The body isnt leaking but has been reinforced at both of the knee areas. There is a small original dot flaw on one of her cheeks. Bear is wire jointed and can be displayed standing, sitting, or on all fours. Very nicely cast and decorated in high detail, in typical fashion for Hertwig dolls, bears and other figures. Item is unmarked, but these are known Hertwig products. Item measures about 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall when standing. Note a rare polar bear on a separate listing! No chips or cracks. Paint nearly 100% intact. Bottom of right foot shows a slight hollow as manufactured. DESCRIPTION This is Early Imari blue & white porcelain plate. There is no big deficiency, it can be said that it is a complete item when considering the times. It is a very rare plate of the museum class. It is splendid goods with feeling of luxury. There is a possibility that a color of the photograph and an actual color are somewhat different. SIZE (about) 18.5cm×3cm (7.28inch×1.18inch) total weight: 762g (plate: 409g) Condition: used / The state is very good , considering the age. IP16 RARE Early Imari Japanese Shinogi blue & white porcelain plate w/box. Lip is a form of Tsuba, hand-carved Shinogi pattern, Foot is 1/3 of the whole plate, It is a typical incipient Early Imari. It is drawn largely with old people, relaxing fishing, mountains and a sailing boat. There is a story that the fishing line of this subject does not have a needle. Is he hermit or a Taoist guy… Age: 1624 – 1645 Kan’ei/E. It is a finished item that can not be obtained even in Japan. Normally excavation products will be distributed. They are scratches and cracks, those whose surface glaze is slightly peeled off, It is commonplace that there are drawbacks such as ash deposits in a kiln. Century circa 1810 solid bronze Italian Grand tour sculptures of winged Sphinxes. There are multiple high definition super-sized pictures at the bottom of this page. This pair are magnificent, they are and original pair and have been together for the best part of 200 years, they are free from damage, everything is present and correct. One of the bases has been restored and a new piece of timber applied. Height:- 8.9cm. This item is made from cast iron, brass, and glass. This item is completely original and in overall good antique condition. This item shows some signs age, wear and tear in the form of light scuffs and an overall patina. This item has an ascending and descending adjustable stand. The glass lens is adjustable and can rotate 360 degrees. Dimensions: H 16.5 x W 6.5 x D 4.5. Condition: The item is completely solid and structurally sound, a light patina is visible to the surface, the item shows wear and tear through use and age and illustrated in the photos provided.
