RARE SET X 8 GILT FINISH BRASS EARLY C19th REGENCY CHEST OF DRAWER PULL HANDLES
Fine set of 8 x hard to find genuine antique Regency reclaimed ring. Pull handles with a. Repeated shell motif in. Petal form to the backplates. The backplates are pressed brass with some of the original gilt wash finish remaining. The rings are tubular/hollow brass. Size; backplates measure 66 mm diameter, 2.6 inches. Weight; lot weighs 226 grams. A beautiful set of handles in good condition with mellow patina and some general wear. No nuts, one has. Short post; see photos. Exceptionally fine and rare Georgian Regency period swivel intaglio seal ring – 1820. The seal is red carnelian carved with a shield containing a chevron in the lower third below which is a bush and also the motto MINATUR – and above which are two birds facing to the right. MINATUR is almost certainly short for the Latin expression MINATUR INNOCENTIBUS QUI PARCIT NOCENTIBUS meaning He threatens the innocent who spares the guilty. A superb ring in excellent condition – most unusual shank which is cast, pierced and engraved – and swivels! This is a very elegant, impressive and fine quality ring. Direct from a private London collection. Size seal – 1.6 x 1.3 5 cms. Weight – 9.5 gms. 40 and to USA is 32.40. Splendid set of 8 x hard to find genuine antique Regency round knob. Pull handles with a. These are beautiful quality handles with brass posts and still with their original brass retaining nuts; backplates are pressed brass. Size; backplates measure 45 mm diameter, 1.8 inches. Weight; lot weighs 645 grams. A fine set of handles in good condition with light wear and tear and a mellow patina. Most of my prices are firm and haggle free. Rare Pair of Early Regency Spode 967 Pattern English Imari Porcelain Hand Painted Porcelain 8¼ Plates. Round indented edge shape. English imari fence pattern in characteristic imari colors of under-glaze blue & over-glaze orange-red, green & gilt. By hand red Spode 967 near the foot rim. Godden mark #3648b, Written mark with pattern number on earthenware and porcelain, c. Spode pattern 967 is shown on p. 223 of Cushion, Encyclopedia of British Porcelain which notes that the pattern was introduced in 1804. Very attractive clean pair in fine condition but for very small underside edge nick on one of little matter, otherwise no chips, cracks, hairlines. All Items Are Sent Insured.
