RARE EARLY PAIR MURANO GLASS LAMPS. Impressive and rare pair of murano glass lamps. The glass is hand blown in style of ribbon work and latticino. Three colours of white, green blue and gold fleck (copper aventurine). Elegantly shaped and standing on original metal bases enamelled in the original colours. These lamps will need rewiring. An exciting, rare and highly decorative unique original pair of side lamps. Size – 63 cms. (53 to top of glass) Total Weight – 4.7 kgs. This is an antique / secondhand item in used condition commensurate with its age – please look at my photos carefully before purchasing. Please contact me if you require extra photos or descriptions. RARE EARLY 1900s Vintage Gold METAL Antique Lamps PAIR Gold Lights REWIRED

Beautiful vintage pair of metal lamps with gold vines detailing on the base. These are perfect for a vintage elegant home! The cords had been cut so I had these rewired with my reputable lamp person. He was amazed by these stating they looked to be from the early 1900s based on the material. He replaced the wiring, interior light bulb sockets keeping the original outer socket cover and replaced the pull chains. The original lamps had pull chains as well so he wanted to keep with the time period. The metal vines do move on the lamp. 13 1/2 tall to the socket. There is gold detailing paint loss and normal distressing commensurate with age and wear. Please see all pictures for more specifics. EILEEN GRAY No. 71 JUMO LAMPS. RARE EARLY PAIR. ART DECO/MODERNIST DESIGN ICON

A rare pair of early No. 71 desk lamps designed by Eileen Gray for Jumo. An icon of the Machine Age, the lamps date from the 1930s/40s. Original dark grey paintwork with chrome arms and accents (the most sought after colour combination). Both lamps are early examples as evidenced by the flick switch and not the rocker/paddle switch found on the later lamps. Both lamps have all original wiring, including 2 pin plugs. You will need a 3 pin adapter. One lamp uses a single tube bulb, while the other has two separate bulb holders (see pic 12). You are probably advised to get them rewired by a professional and have new identical bulb holders fitted. The lamps are in great condition for their age, but there are obviously signs of age-related wear. The chrome is bright and shiny, with only a few minor areas of pitting. The enamel paintwork has some areas of loss (see pics 9 to 11 as examples). One lamp has a small crease/dent near the base (see pic 9). The movement on the lamps is good (one is a little more stiff than the other) and they hold their positions well. These are iconic lamps and if you are viewing this listing you will probably know how rare it is to find a matching early pair. The lamps are large and heavy. RARE PAIR OF EARLY KAISER IDELL 6551 LAMPS. 1920’s ART DECO / BAUHAUS DESIGN CLASSIC. DESIGNED BY CHRISTIAN DELL, HEAD OF METALWORK AT THE BAUHAUS. THE DESIGN IS THE PERFECT BLEND BETWEEN FORM AND FUNCTION, TYPICAL OF THE PERIOD. THE LAMPS ARE EARLY POST WAR MODELS (STAMPED KAISER IDELL NOT THE EARLIER JDELL MARK) WITH THE SILVER INTERIOR TO THE SHADES (NOT THE LATER WHITE/CREAM). THE LAMPS ARE IN GREAT OVERALL CONDITION. THE PAINTWORK IS A MUTED, SATIN BLACK. THE INTERIORS OF THE SHADES HAVE AN AGED PATINA. ONE LAMP HAS A VENT HOLE IN THE SIDE OF THE SHADE (SEE PIC 10), WHICH IS OFTEN FOUND IN MANY OF THE EARLY LAMPS. THE SAME LAMP HAS A FELT-COVERED, PLASTIC BASE PLATE, AS THE ORIGINAL METAL ONE HAD RUSTED AND BROKEN APART (SEE PIC 12). IT IS ALSO EARTHED THROUGH ITS BASE (LITTLE BUMP ON THE SURFACE OF THE BASE WHICH IS THE END OF THE SCREW, SEE PIC 11). BOTH LAMPS WERE REWIRED SOME YEARS AGO TO UK STANDARDS.
