Amazing Large Rare Antique Lacy Glass Button Set In Early Bakelite A42
Posted by admin On February 22, 2023
ALL BUTTONS SENT OUT OF THE UNITED STATES MUST BE INSURED….. SIZE: 1 AND 11/16 INCHES. CONDITION: VERY GOOD CONDITION… THIS BUTTON IS RARE. THERE ARE REPRODUCTIONS OF THE GLASS PIECE BUT THE COLORS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT. THIS ONE IS A GOLD COLOR WITH PINK HUES. IT’S NOT CARNIVAL GLASS, AND IT’S NOT SPRAYED ON. WHEN YOU TURN THE GLASS DIFFERENT WAYS, YOU GET MORE PINK. AND OTHER WAYS IT’S GOLD WITH PINK AT THE TOP. I TESTED IT WITH SIMI CHROME AND IT DOES TEST POSITIVE FOR BAKELITE. I BELIEVE THIS IS AFTER 1920. I KNOW IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S MISSING A STUD, BUT IF YOU LOOK AT THE BACK PICTURE YOU CAN SEE THE PROPER AMOUNT OF DRILL HOLES FOR EACH STUD. THESE ALSO COME IN A GORGEOUS BLUE / PURPLE COMBINATION IF YOU ARE EVER LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND ONE. NO CHIPS OR CRACKS. THE LINE AT THE BOTTOM IS PART OF THE PATTERN. THIS BUTTON REALLY GLOWS! PLEASE SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS AND STORE LISTINGS FOR MORE ANTIQUE BUTTONS. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” – US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. This item is in the category “Antiques\Sewing (Pre-1930)\Buttons”. The seller is “crlogan1″ and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped worldwide.

Posted by admin On July 5, 2019
I SHOW OVER 12 PHOTOS BELOW….. Please scroll down thank you. I will add better photos later today. A truly rare millinery prize. Vintage very early 1930s hat from Lilly Dache’. Dates to right about 1931 to 1932, with a real early Deco silhouette that looks different from every angle. Supple and buttery black French felt with a velour finish, drapes around the face like a halo from the front, with drooping folding sides reminiscent of the late 1920s cloches. Black silk ribbon around the crown. Perfect as ti is, Lilly has added only a carved bright butterscotch bakelite leaf brooch/clip which can be moved to any position that suits the fancy. Early hats from Dache’ are extremely rare, most museums do not even have one. Sits on the back of the head and fits most lady’s heads, very comfy to wear. Label is Lilly Dache’, Paris New York, 485 Madison Avenue, NY. A simple shape that captures a moment in millinery fashion of the very early 1930s. This is to be fair to all interested buyers.
